How did the tickets work for your moved game against SC last year?

I'm sure there's a post here or there on other boards but there's way too much being talked about now to sift through.
If things do work out to where our game against SC is moved to another venue, how do they handle the tickets? You've got ~80K people with tickets in hand for the game and then it being moved somewhere else. Let's jsut assume for convenience sake that it's moved to the ga dome (I only say that becuase it's roughly equivalent to Williams Brice). How in the world do they handle getting people seated in an orderly manner? What if they move to a venue with less seating than WB? Or what if they move to Sanford that seats 12K more...will they put more tix on sale to the public?

It's by venue. Tickets to one venue don't count at the replacement venue. You buy new tickets and get a refund for the original venue.

Well, for one, not even close to 80k people will show up

Umm..if it's played in Atlanta or Athens I assure you they will.

That makes logical sense. Just seems like a logistical nightmare to handle in only 2 or 3 days.

I would think refunds on tickets to scheduled game and you have to buy new tickets to game at new venue.
LSU did make sure the SC got all the tickets they wanted and I think put them all together in a lower level section.
Also - LSU season ticket holders did not get seats in their usual spot. It was first-come, first-serve when tickets went on sale. For what it's worth, LSU also refunded ticket holders for the McNeese game that was canceled. Stub Hub did the same and reversed transactions.

There's a game in the Georgia Dome Saturday if I'm not mistaken.

You are correct.
One of the *rumors* (so probably doesn't mean anything) is that they were trying to get GA State to move their game from 3:30 to 12pm and then UGA/SC would be at 7:30. Who knows though.

The Ga State game shows up as Noon for me when I looked it up. Did it change recently?

3:30 eastern time on their website.

FWIW we only mustered up a crowd of about 35K for the USCe game last year.
This is why I no longer have any respect for the people who complain that season tickets are pricing the little guy out of the games. LSU offered up steep discount ticket first come first serve and few people showed up for a game on a picture perfect weather day.

How can you possibly believe that those 2 spots are options?

Oh, it is, but LSU pulled it off very well last year. Tickets were weird, all suites and club were purchasable by the standing owners...but, regular seats went on sale based on priority. I remember seeing whole sections in 103/104/105 being available right at first. Weather would be fantastic in BR this weekend...IF necessary

With only 3 days, you'll be surprised how difficult it is to sell out. People make plans for away games and you don't get the guarantee of the season ticket holders.
50% full max

It's fall break beginning Thursday at LSU so many students will be gone.
