How can you possibly believe that those 2 spots are options?
Why wouldn't Athens be an option?

Because Greece is in turmoil. Duh

that's not true. Tickets were priced at South Carolina's price points. They were not discounted. I am a 22 year season ticket holder, and I bought my same seats when they went on sale to the general public. They were $60 each.

LSU offered up steep discount ticket first come first serve and few people showed up for a game on a picture perfect weather day.
LSU Fans and Alums DO NOT like day games in Tiger Stadium.
Doesn't matter what the situation is.

Another big issue is that tons of festivals, weddings, and numerous other events are planned around away games.
I'd venture to say that many normal attendees already have other shite to do.

Umm..if it's played in Atlanta or Athens I assure you they will.
How could you even make this statement?

How could you not read about 3 more posts down where I reversed my thinking?
I know this is old hat for you guys, but not all of us have experience with this kinda stuff. At the outset I just assumed "oh, the game is in atlanta as opposed to 3 hours away, surely all the north ga fans would jump at the chance to go to a game they otherwise wouldn't". But after thinking of the logistics I realized it's not that simple, and seeing the low turnout in BR last year solidified that.
This thread is barely 2 pages, it's not much to read.
