Like houses not on a slab. Can't say I've ever seen a house that isn't on slab in nice neighborhood. Plenty of lifted houses in shitty hoods though.

Have you ever been to the Mandeville lakefront?

Depends on what they're lifted with. Cinder blocks...trashy. Wooden stilts by a body of water...not trashy.

I'm guessing you don't live near water.

Or in an old, established neighborhood.

Very trashy. It's like wow those people couldn't afford to make repairs after a flood or something.

If it is there will be a lot of trashy houses in this area within the next year or so.

You have to know the code to the security gate to get in my lifted hood. Nice lot will cost you more than a double wide

You mean pier and beam construction, some of the most expensive homes in this area built in that manner, one down the street here is for sale at 1.9 million.

What are the house nuts made of?

Houses with wheels are pretty classy.

My Mawmaw got her house lifted 12' after Rita. It's really nice having the whole area under your house to do stuff.

Lifted with tires and axles, definitely trashy! Crawl space not so bad.

What do you mean by lifted houses? Houses on stilts, conventional foundation, etc.?
