Piggybacking from a previous thread...

Everyone has/had them. Some are silly and others are downright ridiculous:

When I used to do laundry and I run out of detergent (liquid), I would fill the detergent container with water, shake it up to get the residual soap out of there and pour it into the machine (about 3 times). You can get an extra load of clothes clean from doing this. I do it even if I have a new unopened container.

I used to do this:

Gas station A has gas priced at $2.68 per gallon with multiple pumps available

Gas station B across the street has gas priced at $2.65 per gallon with no pumps available and a long line of people waiting

Most of them. Including late movies instead of early ones.

Well since I'm a cheapskate and not just a habit, I guess all of them.

Not so much a cheapskate but I refuse to miss an hour of work because I want every dollar on the table. I guess greedy is a better description.

I refill the last bit of soap bottle with some water to get all of the soap out.

Occasionally I'll buy 3 Milwaukee's Best 32 oz cans instead of a six pack of pbr because it's a dollar cheaper.

I'm overall pretty frugal. I don't really buy clothes or shoes until I absolutely need to. I don't really buy "things".

When I see the random stupid shite that my gf buys I understand why she's always broke.

Leave my goodies in the toilet all day and flush once a day to save water, usually right before bed.

For the past 30 years, 99% of my clothing have been resale. That excludes underwear. I was an RN for 30 years and my husband is an Attorney. I could afford new clothing, but refused to pay the prices. It's the thrill of the hunt.

I save old wash cloths for dusting. And, I use them on the swiffer mop for floors.

I drive a 13 year old truck with 200k miles, even though I can easily buy a new one. The AC still blows cold, so I don't care. I have been hit 3 times in the last year by careless drivers. I kept the insurance money and didn't do the repairs. My wife refuses to ride in it.

Rarely order anything other than water at restaurants. Always pick up pizza instead of delivery to avoid the delivery fees.
