Superbad came out my senior year and was just perfect for a 17-18 year old. That was high school in the back half of the 2000s.

American Pie 10 out of 10 times

Superbad is my favorite high school movie.
There are so many great one-liners.
"Lube? You brought lube? These aren't dried up old ladies...they're 18 years old."
I've been told that line was improvised while filming. Jonah Hill is just wonderful. Love him or hate him, Michael Cera plays the awkward kid role so well. This movie is my favorite Bill Hader role. It was also Seth Rogan before he got too famous and started being in shittier movies.

Superbad. Not even close. Really great depiction of high school life when I was in high school. Will forever remind me of that time period (which is obviously still pretty recent, not trying to be dramatic).

I'll throw in a random movie but I really like Outside Providence. I went to the same boarding school for HS as one of the writers (Peter Farrelly) so I relate much better w/it than the typical HS flick.
The book kicks the movie square in the nuts though.

Those two right there followed by Can't Hardly Wait.

Can't Hardly Wait.
But Superbad and American Pie are pretty high up on my list. I was in high school when AP came out, and I remember people freaking out about the content and getting id'd walking into the theater after I'd already gotten id'd when I bought my ticket.

I graduated in 99 so American pie was definitely my generation (although I liked can't hardly wait better) and I love it. Superbad was probably funnier as a whole from a writing standpoint.

Dazed & Confused is my personal high school favorite. I graduated from high school in 1977. D&C looks like Kosciusko, MS did in the 70's. The town's hangout was a hamburger place named Scotty's that had a building next door with pool tables, Foosball and pinball machines. Pretty sure you could play them all for twenty-five cents per game.
Between Superbad and American Pie, American Pie had the hotter women, but I like the movie Superbad more.
I'm like Landshark. American Pie wasn't my high school experience. My dad wasn't like Eugene Levy's character. I don't remember any of my friends' dads giving them fapping advice.
Superbad is more realistic. If nothing else the two main protagonists are "regular" guys. They act more like I did my freshman year than I did my senior year, but the situations they were put in are just like ones we all went through at some point in high school.

Apparently Stiffler and Jessica were supposed to hook up at the end of the second one, after they see Nadia take the Sherminator to a room
