Crying on the sidelines, storming off the field. Coach walking on eggshells to protect his feelings in interviews and be "kind" to him (as I've seen it expressed on here). It's just a tad bizarre. Is he that delicate?

Look, nobody has pulled harder for BH than me. I'm a Shreveport native and I always pull hard for the homeboys. And I get that he's a sensitive kid. But do you think for a second that Steve Spurrier would treat a quarterback that way? Hell no. Go compete, son. If you can't get it done, somebody else will. This is big boy football.

Agreed...quick pissing and moaning from the bench...you're going to rub off on the other second and third stringers.

Steve Spurrier? oh yeah! He's the coach that walked mid-season on his team. What Spurrier or any other coach would do has no bearing here-means nothing.

Showing emotion OMG noooooooo....

According to everyone he acted professionally on the sidelines offering advice to Etling. LSU fans just like to eat their own.

Agreed. He's had 2 full years to better his skill set, and he just hasn't yet. No one to blame but yourself. He and Dupre can ride the bench together for a while.

Hey slippy
Ever thought about the possibility that the coaches sent the kid in to avoid dumb arse media questions... Hmmm

Be good to consider that before your start petty arse threads

No he doesn't. NO reason to pile on and crucify the kid.

He's always been a passionate and emotional kid and for the most past has always said the right thing with a mic in his face and carried himself you want a kid to do. If he has some moments of bad judgement while he goes through one of the toughest times of his life, who the frick are any of us to expect or demand he "man up".

From all accounts he was a great teammate and for all we know Cam (through the headset) or Miles told him to run off to avoid a mic in his face.

Back off the kid for fricks sake...he's been benched. Let him grow, mature, learn and regain come confidence.

Did you play "big boy football"?

Easy to be critical when you're a normal citizen.

ETA: I didn't see him do anything on the sidelines that should make anyone indict him. Getting off the field was a smart play and a likely administrative call.

The coaches need to give him some tough love.

Yes, instead, he's little girling up on Twitter with Tyron Johnson.

I say we free up this spot, too...we can't use him on the field, and he's now going out of his way to become a detriment to the team he's incapable of leading.

Brandon needs to stop acting like a baby. He should know how it is to come in for a struggling quarterback and play well. He did the same thing etling is doing to him like he did to anthony Jennings and I'm sure brandon didn't feel bad he took Jennings spot. He needs to do like Jennings and be a team player and practice getting better because he might be needed again if etling plays like crap too just like Jennings came back to play the week after when brandon played like crap at auburn. He was given a whole year and a a game to get better and every game he is getting worst. We have other quarterbacks in the team and now it is there turn to get a chance.
