St. Amant 31
Live Oak 6

Not bad for STA's first action of the season.

McKinley tweets 43-0 McKinley. WAFB replies Scotlandville is up 43-0. Score anyone?

No seniors. No practice. NO MORE KATRINA KIDS. NONE POACHED FROM STA AND EA. Might be the worst Dutchtown team ever.

St. Michael beats Broadmoor 23-8 on the road.

Broadmoor has really fallen off lately. They used to be one of the better BR public school teams. Don't remember what happened last season, but I think we've won 4 in a row against the Bucs now. It's at least 3 of the last 4.

Lutcher rolling Dutchtown shouldn't really surprise anyone. Lutcher is always well-coached and they were 3A state champs last year. Dutchtown hasn't been able to worry about football much lately.

St Amant has a huge Senior Class. Good QB and an explosive WR in Briggs a Bourgeois. More explosive than Hellaire in 5-5A

Lately? Broadmoor hasn't been good since the early 90's.

Dutchtown was the least affected of the Ascension schools. They're not good this year. Benny's starting to get turned down by families in Ascension, like Adrian Ealy, who want to play with the kids they grew up with.
I also think they're kinda young.

Briggs Bourgeois is an incredible athlete. Good at football, soccer, and baseball. He'll surely play something at the next level.

Evangel got their asses kicked, but don't forget Allen is one of the biggest schools and best teams in Texas, while Evangel is about a 2A enrollment. Allen's stadium seats 18K, for Christ's sake. The result might not have been what they wanted, but Evangel won't play a better team all year than Allen.

Not to rain on your excitement but we are not expected to be any where close to the team we were last year. Losing cam danzler to Miss. St. and big ed to LSU should really set STA back.

WM only ip 21-6 on Wossman in the 3rd. Wossman has 20-30 yards total. The DT is a man though. Playing outstanding defense.

#80 for Wossman is a beast, reminds me of the Buggs kid from Ruston from a couple years back, maybe a little better than Buggs.

WMs offense was, I dunno, not too sharp. WM plays JC next week. They better tighten up or WM could lose this one.

#91 Dennis Collins for WM is unstoppable. TCU is getting a gem with this kid.

Evangel plays a very good Neville team next week at the Battle on the Border in Shreveport.

I don't think Neville will curb stomp Evangel but I think Neville will beat Evangel by at least 10 points.
