Sooo what exactly did Under Armour do and why is everyone boycotting them?

I'm pretty sure I don't own a single piece of Under Armour but I'm curious.

The Bowmars who were sponsored by Under Armour posted video of a bear hunt in Canada. The husband killed a Bear with a spear (which is legal). There was an uproar about how he acted after the spear hit and how "inhumane" the kill was. Basically a bunch of liberal tampons cried about it and Under Armour caved, pulling their sponsorship. A bunch of BS but in a world where we must film everything, everything is going to be scrutinized, both good and bad.

They sponsored Sarah Bowmar, a huntress woman. Her and her husband went on a Canadian bear hunt and she filmed her husband hand spear a big bear. Bear went down in seconds. anti-hunters cried; UA folded

All in all UA should have stood behind their people. They need to be all in if they are going to support hunters

Here is the filmed hunt

This is who they dropped

Was waiting for this to make it here. I saw scentlok is offering half off everything during this time. If you ask me, the marketing person deserves a raise if a large market share is gained.

I like my scentlok stuff a lot. I don't believe that it masks my odor or anything, I just find it to be really nice quality.

Basically, you should buy it over UA anyways.

It seems like I have stock in KUIU anyway with the amount of KUIU gear I own, so no UA for me. frick em. I wonder what Cam Hanes has to say about this.

UA is cheap material and worthless anyway. Bought it back in early 2000's and it was junk tried some a couple years back still junk. No loss that's for sure.

But when you have a hunting outfitter that will disown you because of anti-hunters; you can find other options

And it isn't like they have quality things that you can't get elsewhere

Why don't they have the fishing stuff at their stores? Chicago, NY, Destin = zero fishing items displayed. It's like fishing belongs in the closet to them.

While I agree with your sentiment, I think this is a very relevant story. UA made a business decision in which obviously their place in the hunting market is nowhere near what it is in the sports/apparel world, which is a world for a liberals considering the athletes they market. As a hunter, this should piss you off. They turned their back on a sponsored athlete that they should have supported in our eyes (the diminishing hunting family) to cater to a much larger and growing force, the liberal PC SJW. They have set a precedent now, so what happens when Cam Hanes, who is one of the most famous archery hunters and extreme athletes on the planet, arrows another water buffalo and the liberals lose their shite? Are they going to continue to back him? Im sure KUIU, Sitka, First Lite, Nomad, ScentLok and other non-PC companies that don't have to balance multiple markets aside from hunting would love to have him on board.

im not talking about just hunting apparel. While i do have some under armour camo, I wear under armour dri fit heat gear shirts all the time. My favorite shirt.. im not going to stop because of some political crap. While i disagree with what they did, me boycotting isnt going to change the world.
