This is typical behavior

So its typical for him to lay in bed 99% of the day?

That sounds like a slam dunk case in terms of diagnosing his problem, but I am no doctor. Hopefully someone else can give you accurate information as to what to do next.

He's got 10 out of those 12 symptoms. FML man, I'm not good talking about this bullshite. I don't have empathy at all and am too blunt to talk about it without upsetting him. I think he knows what's going on, but doesn't want to admit it or go to a doctor. I don't understand not wanting to do anything ever. Just baffles me.

Maybe I'll take a few off of the kitchen counter, but I think he's too lazy to do anything like that. That was a suggestion from someone else also

Nah, typical to miss a minimum of 2 days per week of work, and he usually only works 6 hours a day. Like I said earlier though, he hasn't done anything with other people involved since Hogs for the Cause (first week of April). Last time before that was maybe September of last year. Weekends are spent in his room with a few minutes out here and there to eat

Take him out for some beers and be his wing man. Try and get him laid. It will help.

Plan a fun event.

If he won't go with you. Plan it at the house and get some of his oldest friends or family that he doesn't see very often to come. Don't let him catch wind that you're planning it for him. Just plan it around something and have a BLOW OUT for the ages. DJ's, girls, talk to neighbors so they won't mind, and make fliers. Give him enough time to mentally prepare for it. Maybe even tell him you want him to help with the planning, that you just want to have a party and haven't had one in a while.

If he still refuses to go out then it most likely will take seeing a doctor and some selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

Btw he doesn't have to be sad or lazy to be depressed.

Indecisiveness is a symptom too

just fwiw

this will help until he thinks that he likes her and then if it doesn't work, things will be worse

hamm all you can do is just try to help. if he's legit depressed it's a biological defect in his body. his body is simply not producing the chemicals that people interpret as happiness in sufficient amounts

always remember
