He accepted a scholarship before deciding to go pro, how much fun would it have been watching him hit bombs in college?
Would he have propelled Tulane to a regional?

From Wikipedia and after a search I don't see where he committed to USC

quote:

He had accepted a scholarship to play baseball for Tulane, and received offers from UCLA, UNLV and USC to play football.

his high school coach and AD:

quote:

"His plan, as I recall, was if he wasn't drafted high, he was going to USC to play football and baseball," Rooney said. UCLA and UNLV also offered football scholarships.

The what if game is pretty crazy with baseball, I know Kershaw was committed to A&M, and we could have had Shelby Miller in the weekend rotation with Wacha and Ross Stripling. I'm sure every major/semi-major program has those scenarios with how many high school kids go straight into pro ball.

Doesn't appear any actual conformation on either.

Wvery time I think of Gallo and life before pro ball I think of his travel team back in Nevada that had him, Bryce and Kris Bryant on it.

LSU could've had Story, Gallo, Delino Deshields Jr. and Bregman on the same team.
