Wow you just keep coming strong with the retarded statements in this thread. You must think upper class black teenagers have higher IQs than dirt poor Asian teenagers? Right? Please say yes.......

ETA: Can you imagine having scholarships dedicated to only Caucasian students? Man, wouldn't that be nice.

I'm a white guy who doesn't sympathize with any of the BLM movement or any of that shite, but if you want to go to southern, there are indeed scholarships just for that.

Why do white people have to afford it but black people should get in free?

Blacks (in the South) are not really in the same public schools. Sure, in theory, it just matters what district you're in, but the reality is that blacks live in specific areas and end up in specific schools. I'd bet that those schools that are predominantly black are worse than the predominantly white schools 9/10 times. Now, this is true mostly in the South and major urban areas (Chicago, NY, etc.) and less true in the other parts of the world.

So, no. Many blacks are not in the same public schools as whites.

Now, whether that truly results in an educational disparity is something that someone with more resources than me should handle.

Do the predominantly black schools receive less funding per student 9/10 times? If so please post a link and I will agree there is an injustice. If they don't then the ONLY logical reason they are worse is because they have black students instead of white students. According to this LINK black students get more money so please explain to me why they fail?

That still depends on where you are in this country.

Here's my question. Why do the blacks become the majority in a school and then begin saying it's a bad school? No doubt that it is a bad school because the students attending have problems but which came first?

I've always been perplexed by this phenomenon. My alma mater was 60/40 white back in the 80's and all the blacks who had overtaken several other schools wanted to be at mine. Nowadays it's 90/10 black and there is a daycare at the school for the babies so the teen moms can attend. They are being given opportunity.

For the most part, yes.

That's not an outlandish statement.

I'd expect upper middle class teens in general to have higher IQs than their destitute counterparts.

In cities and areas with several high schools, sure. In most of the rural areas, blacks and whites share the same schools, minus those whose parents are able to afford private.

If blacks want to bitch about educational opportunities they better do so in front of a mirror. They've got the same if not more opportunities to get educated as anyone else. If their predominately black public school sucks, they need only look at themselves as to why it does. If their life sucks, they need only look at themselves as to why. If they get arrested for breaking the law at a protest, they need only look at themselves as to why. If they get tackled, tased or shot will resisting arrest, they need only look at themselves as to why.
Responsibility works 99.99999% of the time it's tried.

When I was in high school, to be a PSAT semifinalist, white people needed to score a 210, while black people needed to score a 170. Cool huh?

A private Catholic high school in BR that had been low on enrollment opened their doors to the voucher program and filled a majority of the Seats. Less than 5 (someone correct me if I'm wrong) years later the doors are closed Bc their right to vouchers was pulled. A huge majority of the voucher kids could not pass the public school tests. It's an interesting thing, I think.

It's PRIVATE.

All you have to do is pay.

If you can't afford it, you GO TO PUBLIC SCHOOL. It is ridiculous to think that people believe PRIVATE school is a right yet those who pay for private school also pay for public school, through taxes. I don't see public school attendees wanting to help
Pay private school tuition... The one way "fairness" in this country is going to destroy us.

So private schools deny entry bassed on race? I dont know i went to public school. I know blacks have more financial aid opportunities than whites. In fact white have the least. Every minority has scholorships designed for their minority along with the united negro college fund.

I have never heard of a scholorship or financial aid for whites only.

No, but the education gap in Louisiana for a private vs public schools seems pretty vast. It furthers the socioeconomic gap from generation to generation. Huge proponent in believing that improving the Louisiana public school system is the best long term solution, but you'd still have the issue of parental involvement

Best way to improve education would be to attract top teachers with higher pay, but that will never happen because of 1) Republicans won't want taxes instead and 2) teachers unions would never allow for much higher standards, evaluations, and barriers of entry

In America today, blacks have more opportunities for better education than middle class white children because of programs designed to discriminate against whites.

Now, are they taking advantage of those programs? Maybe not, but to think it's not setup that way today is just to lie to yourself.
