If I got a tahoe it would just be the LS. the standard options are way more than my fully loaded 04 has, and I'd cut my arm off before paying 60 or 70 grand on a chevy.

Got the wife a '14 Highlander, great small suv but no cargo space when the 3rd row is up. Went and looked at the large Volvo SUV's last week...jaw dropping. Better than a Lexus or Audi. If you want a large one, wait until the Sequioa or Armada are remodeled.

The prices are insane for a new Yukon. Hell, I was just looking at new 4runners with leather and 4wd and they want like $45k. Crazy

If you like your current Yukon, the new Yukons, Tahoes are great. Interior/features are much much nicer than the old ones. Cargo area is pretty good with the seats folded down just like the old ones. Yes the new Yukons have slightly less cargo room, but you also get the lay flat seats and you don't have to remove them as you did in the old ones. Many of the SUVs suggested in this thread have a much smaller cargo area. Yes prices are insane though.

What all are you towing? If its just a jet ski several CUVs will be able to handle it. Hell, a Ford Explorer is technically a CUV now.
As for SUVs, I bought a '14 JGC Overland about a year ago and its pretty damn sweet. I catch hell here saying it but IMO the upper level trims on JGCs are about as close to an American Range Rover as you are going to get.

I'll second this. Those crew cabs are huge now. Unless you need a 3rd seat or just don't want something that large they are tough to beat.

not a single problem yet w/my '14 at just over 31k miles other than the recall for the shifter that people seem to have so many issues with b/c checking to see if you are in park before you get out is apparently too much to ask.

In the same boat. Going from an 07 Yukon XL SLT. Trying to convince the wifey (no pics) to go the minivan route is not working. $25k savings for exactly what we need.

Had a 4runner for 13 years, solid vehicles, no complaint. But I didn't like the new ones and bought a Highlander instead. Great riding vehicles, very comfortable. Would recommend.

I have no doubt that others have better experiences with them. Mine was dreadful and my neighbor has had more than a few problems with his 2015. Given that I have other options, I won't be buying one, ever again. Fool me once and all that jazz...

Sure you can go that route but I also know many people who have all kinds of problems w/Toyotas and Hondas even those are generally supposed to be the best when it comes to not having mechanical issues and such.
Sometimes you just get a lemon or a shitty mechanic (and I lean towards the latter in most cases TBH)

Depends on what you need. Its not huge for an SUV. 39 inches headroom in the front drivers seat. I have never had one thing go wrong.
I am just under 35K miles at the moment.
There is a hill just 1/2 mile from me that requires chains or 4 wheel drive in winter. It has 4 wheel drive.
We have a very small boat. Taking it to the lake in a while. Its less than 2 miles to the lake.
