I've never seen a more set up picture and I've never witnessed more people purposefully trying to falsely portray something as something it's not. I.e. "Legendary" "Iconic". Although I'm sure it will work as intended

I'm not a cop, but I would imagine it's a matter of securing the street to make the protesters don't take it over. Once they dissipate, the police will too. She disobeyed a lawful order, so it's pretty cut and dry.

the line of cops are to stop traffic and have time to make sure the streets are clear. it's also to give a clear indication of the line you should not be crossing or go to jail.
