Parish is loaded next 3-4 years and Saban went after petitto to be on his staff. These kids have had relationships with him since they were kids. He has coached around here, trained them etc, grew up with all their parents. Say what u want about these kids leaving but when u have a person on staff at a school like Alabama that family and players know and trust, it's gonna be hard for LSU.

LSU will be just fine, just wish Petitto would have stayed with Kirby or Les would have went after him like he should have

What notable kids out of there for 2017 and 2018 class besides besides devonta smith? How can you even determine 2019 and 2020 class and how good it will be? Those were freshmen and 8th graders last year.

He doesn't have anything on S Tangi. Everyone knows the best coaches are at Ponchatoula, especially that DB coach they got.

Appreciate your post, but we now have the best staff in college football. Not worried about losing kids from Tangipahoa Parish.

N. Tangi maybe. Who is the last prospect from N. Tangi that went elsewhere and actually produced?

Saban has become a fricking master at this shite. He's so far ahead of the game in recruiting it's not funny. Any state around him with solid talent he finds a way in. It's nuts.

As I understand it, Sammy going to Alabama is as much Pruitt as it is Saban. I know he worked Saban's camps for years, and had a previous stint at Bama as a QC guy, but not sure he would be there without Pruitt and a guarantee of getting on the field when they increase the number of allowed staff.

Love Smith offered him an on field position and salary increase and he turned it down, so he must feel pretty good about his future w Pruitt and Bama. As far as LSU is concerned, he never would have been on staff w Wilson, but now that he is out of the picture, it would be possible, I guess, but imagine that would extend to Miles also.

We are stacked with national recruiters. If a LA player wants to go somewhere else, we will find top talent elsewhere. In some past times we HAD to have almost all of the top instate players. Now we can get top players out of state if we need to.

North Tangi isn't nearly what it used to be in terms of producing stud players. They really peaked about 5 years ago. LSU will be just fine.

Ed Alexander is from Tangi parish, where is he enrolling?

"ur" "u"

Is it really that difficult to type out "you're" or do you not know your or you're?

I disagree, I think they really do have some quality players going through their school system in the next few years. LSU will be in on those guys with this staff though.

This chicken little crap is ridiculous. Talent isn't what's holding LSU back.

Sweeping in and grabbing Petitto from UGA was a solid move by Saban to get Smith. Don't think that Saban won't dump Petitto in a heartbeat for next year's 5 star handler.

I don't have a problem with him going to Bama because of the way he has conducted himself towards LSU. Also the fact that we can find a WR on every corner of the State and in Texas as good as him.

More like Monroe should have Bama players "locked up"......('literally'). Two especially...

There is so much top-shelf talent in LA we could not sign them all if we wanted. There will always be players who go to other (SEC) schools, find their place, and excel. if not Tangipahoa Parish then some other parish. And TV announcers will deride us for 'how we let that one get away.' 'Cause we can't sign'em all. Period.

That Bama has had success of recent with a HC with ties to LA doesn't help.

FTR, talent hasn't been a big problem for almost two decades.
