Best Sushi Restaurant In NOLA?

Going to NOLA next weekend and I would like to grab some good sushi... Anybody have a recommendation on where to go?

I wouldn't say there is a best one necessarily these days, kind of depends on what you're looking for. With Koz no longer at Shogun and Horinoya closing, a lot of places are pretty similar.

What was it?

I like Sushi Brothers for just a quick roll or two.
A lot of people like Rock N Sake for a night out type of deal. It is a bit douche but they do have some quality stuff. Long wait. I'd say good sushi.
Lots of people like Ninja, Kanno, and Shogun to varying degrees.

I'll be in New Orleans next week and I have no idea what I'm going to do for my Japanese fix.

I like Sushi Brothers and Fuji Sushi on the Metairie Kenner line on Vets.

Kanno
PS. I won't be getting their tuna "tartar". You have to spell it correctly for me to order it anywhere

I think the quality at Kanno comes closest to the quality at Horinoya (oh how I miss it dearly).
People rave about Sake Don on Jefferson Hwy, but my one trip there they served me tuna that was still frozen.

For me it's their selection of fish, quality of the cuts, and the rice. It's not out of this world and would get trounced in other cities, but probably the best we have in town.

My favorite is Hana, uptown.

I see that they have collars (kama) too. One of my favorite things.

Does Kanno usually have quality Uni and Mirugai?
