Yeah because i'm the only one with good taste in the world. (Joke, sort of)

IMHO, OoT is so revered among fans, and with MM coming out relatively soon after OoT released and it "looking" like the same game, diehard fans of OoT probably get really defensive when you try to knock it off it's proverbial throne.

Plus with the new mechanics MM introduced, it's really easy to pick a side.

Yea, because some ppl expected it to be another OoT game or just play like it. You progress through the story in a totally different way, its nothing like OoT.

I look it like this, its like playing a new game. At first the controls make no sense and it feels difficult. Then you get to the point where everything is starting to make sense and the game becomes easier and hopefully fun.

Like you said, maybe the new mechanic was too much for some. They probably quite and never learned how it makes MM a great game.

This is honestly my only issue with MM. It makes the finale extremely easy

My first ever reaction to OoT is when I beat the three areas and got the three stones as young link.

I was like, this took so many hours for me to beat. This has to the the end.

Then I fricking became adult link and there were 6 full on temples to overcome.

It blew my mind.

That is why it is better than MM.

I can probably beat the game without issue now, MM was a harder game and might be more appraling now that I am older. OoT is the only of the series I have repeated to completion multiple times.

I've always considered people who don't like MM to be OoT fanboys who wanted basically a direct sequel with the same amount of dungeons, weapons and mechanics.

You also think GTA V sucks though and it definitely doesn't

Its me getting old.

I loved the PS2 days on GTA, just didn't like GTA V. I did play it on PS4 and never finish titles on the console.

MM did the exact same to me when it allowed me to play as Deku, Zora and Goron all in one game with the addition of having to know what masks to use in what situations.

Yep, probably.

It also holds a lot of natusgia for me because my hardcore dad hated videos games but brought me to Wal-Mart on launch week as a BDay present.

Majora's Mask + Expansion Pak = $110 roughly.

I can say with some amount of certainty in at least one case that you're wrong.

That god damn expansion pack.

Didn't only like two games, including MM, need it to run? Like how pointless is that

Only 3 needed it, MM, DK64, and Perfect Dark. But it greatly improved a lot of games by allowing the hi-res setting.

I worked at Movie Gallery and got mine "free" with a used copy of DK64, which is right behind OoT as my favorite 64 game.

Damn DK64? I never owned but rented. DK64 did look pretty good. Going from island to island and the weather transitions.
