Oh it's intimidating, in an awesome way. My only gripe was that the last two games have featured a lifeless hyrule. Playing wind waker makes it even more apparent

I believe Wind Waker is next on my list of 3d Zelda classics to play.

very excited to get to it. have heard nothing but good things.
i'm color blind, but the colors are amazing. on Friday my glasses that will allow me to correctly see colors arrive and I can't wait to see what wind waker looks like

granted, 30 plus years, there are other things i'm excited to see in color first

Damn. The colors really add a dimension to the dungeons.

For instance, the blues in the water temple were very calming and soothing

Compared to the blacks in the shadow temple which were unsettling and creepy (#not racist)

The reds in the fire temple made it feel. ..hot.

forest temple greens made the place feel alive, even though you were surrounded by Ghosts (death)

The dungeons are where it all blends

Green, yellow, red, brown, even black can all blend and it ends up just looking green or brownish

its outside of the dungeons and houses everything looks colorful to me, but who knows. I can't trust my eyes

This makes playing Windwaker such a breathe of fresh air after Majora. MM is such a dark game and Windwaker is a perfect follow up.

How did it work then? I can't remember. I guess I can plug the game in and see.

thought Masterquest was just a harder version of the base game with a different dungeon layout?

Only real difference I noticed in playing is a more difficult placement of dungeon keys (silver ones).

Seems like this one is more quest focused and not dungeon focused though? Only 4 dungeons

Mask collection alone is like 2 more dungeons. And those are for the base masks.

Also, the roads to and from dungeons and how to get there is hard too. Like a poster said, Hyrule is way more active in Majoras Mask than in other more recent Zelda games.

Want to know how old I am?

I pre-ordered Windwaker so I could get OoT and Masterquest for GCN before the WW release date.

I was a freshman in college.

I let my dorm neighbor borrow my tv and GCN and he collected al the statues (from photos) after I finished the story.

MM was my best Christmas because I thought I could only choose between MM and a stereo.

Got both.

I tried to play ocarina again today. I really have trouble going back to tank controls with that static camera.

on the 3ds?

I beat the first MM dungeon, Woodfall, and thought it kind of sucked. Comparatively to the OOT dungeons since they are fresh on my mind

Reaching the dungeon and doing all the stuff in the swamp and deku palace was fun though.

switching between Deku Scrub and Link was neat but nothing was really challenging or even memorable IMO.

Yes on 3ds. I haven't been able to play it again for a couple of years now.

I've beaten it twice since I got my wiiu. It definitely takes an adjustment to get back to the old controls. But the game is as awesome as it always was.

The dungeons aren't the best since you are always switching masks, they can become annoying.

What makes MM for me is the world and severity of the situation. Everything outside of the dungeons is great.

You are going to realize MM is incredibly overrated here

Do you want to sell your MM 3DS copy? Still play your new 3DS any?

I still have the old 3DS XL but want to upgrade before Sun/Moon.
