Had originally booked the Roosevelt in New Orleans for anniversary getaway. Wife is hinting she would like to go somewhere else now.

Naples is an option, however both Waldorf properties have been sold and rebranded. She wants either beach and/or nice pool area.

One that came up is possibly Waldorf in Arizona (I believe in Phoenix). Other options?

Hilton brand of hotels are my first choice as I have over 700K points to use. Starwood, second choice as I have two free nights.

Who wears the pants?

I make all the travel plans at my ranch.

Sometimes I just tell her what days to take off and give her a general idea of the weather where we are going so she can appropriately pack. She finds out at the Airport where we're going.

She does now. I resigned from my job and have been a stay at home husband/dad for the last 2.5 months.

Completely agree, however it's also an arm and a leg. Plus it will be hard for me to justify to myself to spend money when I have so many points to use.

If you have over 700,000 points you are wasting our time. You can go anywhere in the frickin world where there's a Hilton with that many points. Nice #subtlebrag though.

I'll go where Southwest Airlines will take me. So not anywhere in the world or U.S. for that matter.

Having so many points may seem like a subtle brag, however I would gladly trade those points for the last 6.5 years of my life to have been with my family more. And two months ago, that's exactly what I did.

Starwood has a Westin in St. John, grand caymans and a few options in south beach. Those would be my first options. I haven't looked around Hilton but know there are a lot of options. What about nyc?

I asked her about NYC and while we both love the city, she wants a place where we can just relax and not do a whole lot of anything.

Don't know if you can get to Barbados on Southwest, but I just got back from there. Stayed at the Hilton Property there for 6 nights and it was only 250k pts.

Highly recommend it.

Or do Miami. There are plenty on Hilton Properties on South Beach ( Hilton Bentley)

The Hilton Los Cabos is amazing. By far the best Hilton property I've ever been to.

Damn Will... Hope that outdoor kitchen is paid off. Timely topic as I am looking for somewhere to use my two cat 1-5 SPG nights as well. Somewhere nice, with a pool.

Any of you ballers ever stay at the Hilton Rose all resort in Jamacia? Looks nice with the water features and it's an AI.
