Just discovered that after having thoroughly enjoying High Top Mountain for ~3 years and loving his new album over the past few weeks, I totally missed Sturgill Simpson's middle album.
His performance of When In Rome's "The Promise" is amazing.

I don't know if it is my absolute favorite and considering I heard it for the first time about 2 months ago, there is probably some recency bias here, but The War on Drug's cover of Touch of Grey is pretty awesome.
