This guy needs to call out the pussification on the rant. As I stated before the guy was giving a fact. The kids are man enough to know when they mess up. You pansies are the ones I can't call out in the business world for making poor decisions or mistakes without you running to HR.

Paul may not be my favorite coach but he is spot on with this.

Yeah, he's left tire tread on way too many players over the years.

Jimmy Dugan: Oh, you zip it, Doris! Rogers Hornsby was my manager, and he called me a talking pile of pigshit. And that was when my parents drove all the way down from Michigan to see me play the game. And did I cry?

Are you hinting that Deichmann dropped it on purpose?

I dont think hes necessarily trying to throw anyone under the bus when he says that. Hes more or less rehashing the game and talking about how close they were to winning where if that play is made its a tie game....same when odell muffed the punt against Georgia a few years ago. We all believe LSU wins that game if that doesnt happen. Youre not so much throwing him under the bus by saying that its just realizing we were that close to winning if we just execute that one play. Its not outright saying we lost because of Deichmann.

Captain,

In the business world, you don't reprimand people in the middle of an office in front of others. Sports should be the same.

I have said this before, I agree with what was said by Paul, but he needs to do it in he locker room.

I agree. A bunch of pussies on here. The same guys would give their right arm to get Saban back even though he throws players under the bus more than CPM.

If I was your friend I'd be that guy. The difference between me and Mainieri is that I know i'm an a-hole.

LOL @ all the Great Santini's in this thread.

Look IDGAF about what Paul says to his team. Provided what he says to them is out of earshot of any member of the media with a camera, microphone or pen and paper.

I've crowed before about criticize in private and praise in public. The Great Santini's take this literally and it shows how myopic they really are. Paul can call any player on the carpet in front of the rest of that team and coaching staff. That's what is meant when you say criticize in private.

I.E.-Don't criticize in front of the ENTIRE FANBASE AND MEDIA.

The previous sentence =\= Don't criticize.
The previous sentence =\= Don't criticize in a team setting.

Oh and re: Pauline's little diatribe? It's a huge obfuscation. He's been absolutely ripped a new one by the AD-and perhaps some old coached hanging around the program-and he's making excuses in the media and blaming THEM for his shortcomings with respect to his composure and conceptual grasp of how to operate within a team environment from a managerial perspective.

His case studies would be taught in Grad School of how NOT to elicit peak performance, team building, morale generation or execute proper management. Literally.

Screaming,

So you are the CEO and a poor decision was made by one of your leaders. At your senior executive meeting you don't acknowledge the issue at hand and call it to light? You just, as the leader, let it fester?

Let me know what company you lead so I can short the shite out of it if it is publicly traded.

Does Senior Exec Meeting = General Shareholder Meeting?
Does Senior Exec Meeting = Companywide Town Hall Meeting?

No, it does not. You're pretty dumb to try to say that though.

Personally, I feel like Lange 4-pitch walking a batter shortly after that is the real reason the guy ended up at third base and was able to score on the sac fly. Yes, this guy would not have been on but if Lange hadn't given up a hit and then walked the next batter...I am not blaming Lange either...I am just making an example.

This is a team sport...CPM should not have made the comment he did and should not have waited 4 days to correct his statement. You don't blame one player for the loss or give one player all the credit for the win.

There are obviously a bunch babies on this site. If you can't take criticism you won't go far in life.
