Chip away at it.
Start with saying you want to drop 20lbs.

Then, when you've lost 20, re-evaluate.
That's what I'm doing. If I can get to 205, I'll see what I've got left.

You can drop 20 in 2 months on keto. No doubt in my mind about that.

I hope I can drop ~10 more when I start on Monday. Was going to start Tuesday but remembered the pizza feast we always have for the NFL draft.

You think it is a fad diet?

Yep, sure do. In a couple years it'll be out and the next one will be in. I know a guy who lost 100 pounds just by limiting calories and working out every day. No Keto diet needed

Also to be fair, keto diet has been around for many, many years.

Ok
Great. Congrats
I guess eating meats and vegetables, cutting out processed food (starch/carbs), is all new and exciting. Never done before. Let's see how it plays out.

to be fair...I lost the majority of my weight eating nutrisystem for a year. The keto, for me, was a way to jump start things after a bad 6 months of personal issues...I enjoy keto and was successful with it for what I was doing at the time, but there are many different ways out there for people to lose weight and whatever works for someone is what they need to be doing.

I don't care how someone chooses to diet/workout etc if they're doing it successfully and safely. There's no need for anyone to get worked up about who does what.

Fad, trend, whatever

If it make you feel good, makes you healthier, and happier, people can call it whatever they want.

I've noticed that when a particular diet doesn't work for someone, they're quick to condemn it or belittle others for trying it.

A person can stay on keto for a very long time. It's sustainable.

just finished a 2.64 mile run in just under 27:30. If someone would have told me I'd be able to run for almost 30 minutes without stopping I'd have laughed in their face. Legs aren't even tired, it's the breathing that got me.

Feels good!

Running is my thing. No marathons this year bc I'm trying to show my wife she can believe me when I say, "I'm taking a break from distance running."

For dinner I had some nice trout filets from Lake Borgne, some almonds, butter, lemon, green beans, diced Tasso, and a little bit of olive oil in the pan to get the fish started.
Maybe a tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tbsp of butter. I basted the fish after I flipped it, then finished in the oven.

This was pretty keto friendly, and delicious:

I like to go beyond just losing weight and dive into heart health as well. For me, keto has cured depression, excess weight, skin issues, screwed up blood panels, and brain fog.

But, I do plan on linking other diets and cholesterol information as well when I get time.

What kind of skin issues did it cure? And we're you actually depressed, and this cured it?

Intermittent fasting really got the fat loss going over last month.
