More info will come out later today. There is a tigerband only meeting later today with the directors of the school of music. I expect they plan on announcing at this he is fired while citing some bullshite excuses as to why. They'll say his has absolutely nothing to do with money but we know that's total bs

I have a horrible feeling that his ousting may significantly reduce the number of Earth, Wind, and Fire halftime shows next year. :(

I hope they promote Dr. Llinas.

He's been a good assistant, but my concern with giving him the top job is, according to his resume, the only experience he's had as a director is at the high school level.

If we're going to settle for being a meh SEC band, then go that route. If we are still serious about being one of the top bands in the country, you hire a top notch proven director who has built great bands at this level.

But wait--we have a problem. We already have a Director of Bands, and no director of stature will come here to take over the marching band without the DOB title too.

This doesn't affect me one way or the other but I really hope he takes his Latin Flare and Tribute to 1920's Broadway halftime shows with him.

I think the reason many people care is the fact that once again the LSU administration is looking like a bunch of jackasses again.

I heard Moorhouse didn't get along with the Golden Girls.

Agreed. Small problem, however: The position of Director of Bands is already filled.

Probably true. Back in the late 80's early 90's Linda and the girls were constantly getting into tickle fights. Frank had to step in and separate them on several occasions.

Yeah, like a 7a, DCI-style marching band. I'd rather have that than hire someone from a mid-tier college.

True statement.

My cousins were GGs in the 90s.

that happens. No way she comes back into this situation after they first disrespected her and now Roy.

She has already weighed in in support of Roy on the Facebook group backing Roy. She made it clear that this was nothing new. I don't think there's any way she comes back.

Under Alexander, LSU has become a disorganized mess of a school, with public mis-steps and PR disasters at every turn. He needs to be shown the door soon, while the school still has a little cred left. Damn.

Dumbass. It's one of the, if not the largest student group on campus. When you consider how long a history it has, that also make it one of the largest single groups of LSU alumni. So frick off with your one man's opinion, because that fact alone makes it matter.

As a TB alumni from the good old days of the 80's, this really breaks my heart to see TGBFTL in the shape it's in.

I've been trying to defend the guy but the word I have is he will probably be brought down due to "a personnel matter" that was reviewed due to "allegations that policies [were] violated" that "rumors about budget changes and alterations in scholarship awards" are "not true."
