re: Official Better Call Saul Season 2 Episode 9: "Nailed"

I'll grant a little poetic license for the school flagpole scene. Without all the "Saul" tactics, I'm sure any number of places would have been fine with them borrowing the flagpole to shoot five minutes of footage.

My gf and I laughed hard at the fact that Jimmy made them go through that much trouble to get that shot.
And I think Hector has a stroke that is induced by stress put on by Mike, which that might be pretty obvious.
And I know that it was a small part, but I thought the copy store employee did a pretty good job with his part. He had me laughing with his responses.

Or they could've just filmed it on the weekend.

the school might not leave the flag up over the weekend, plus they'd have to actually "break in" as opposed to just walking in as they did.

This was a pretty darn good episode. Don't think I said that yet.
those that aren't caught up, you probably will want to be before Monday

Have an up vote for the Name Game reference.

Gus was gay?
Yes. Hector killed his partner when Gus entered into business with the cartel. That's why there was such animosity between Gus and Hector.

Before he killed Gus's Partner,Hector was pissing in his Boss's pool and turned toward Gus and said to everyone,"He likes this",or something to that effect.
I think that scene is the only time that Gus's sexuality is talked about.

every school I went to had kids on weekly flag duty. It was put up first thing and taken down before the last bell.

Can't wait for Monday... I think two things happen
1) Chuck is unable to perform his duties and Jimmy takes control to cash him out of HHM.
2) Mike goes to kill bell boy and at that point, Gus makes himself known... Possibly to stop him because killing him could hurt Gus' business.
I can't find the commercial, but I know I saw a teaser for the last episode that had the tag line "Better Call Saul Goes Bad", or something to that extent. I'd imagine its foreshadowing us getting at least one major BB cameo.

I think the name change is Jimmy losing it as a result of hurting Chuck due to his exploits. Jimmy starts to believe Chuck's criticisms, so he changes his name as his own version of " I am the villain of this story" and as a declaration that he has accepted himself as the scam artist his brother has always said that he couldn't stop being.

I find it hard to believe that Chuck will die without any resolution to the Rebecca story. Hard to imagine they would have a background story including her in an episode titled after her, not to mention the intro scene when Chuck is playing piano reading sheet music with her name on it, without any more development on their relationship and how it ended.
Or was the "Rebecca" episode intro's purpose simply to further establish Chuck's jealousy of Jimmy?
