It should be a record breaking fest for attendance this year and I'm happy for all of the food vendors.
I'm going to go out early tomorrow or Sunday and hit up some of the food booths. Didn't attend last year, so what are some of the must haves?

This and Boucherie's 12 hour roast beef is pretty good too.
Ms Linda has her pork chop sandwiches out here this year though off the ebaten path in a parking lot. Had to get one of those yesterday. Muriel's goat cheese and crawfish crepe is always really popular. I always grab a meat pie from Ms Wheat's also.
Not a lot of can't miss dishes for me oher than the 2 roast beef poboys. I just meander around and grab anything that peaks my interest. If it isn't good I toss it and move on.

Miss Hay's stuffed chicken wings, usually in Woldenberg. Not sure if they are back this year thought
Chicken livers from Prailine connection
Vaucresson Sausage poboy
I always get the BBQ shrimp Po boy in Lafayette Square, I think it's Brennan's.
Tom Fitz was raving on the radio about K Paul's beans and rice concoction

I'm still mad that Tujague's stopped serving the brisket at the festival.
KK Bread Pudding at Boucherie is my favorite.

The best bite of food I had today was the crab beignet from Loretta's Pralines. Not a big portion, but loaded with crab meat. $8
The prime rib debris poboy from the Rib Room was good... tasted just like any debris poboy. $7
Mrs. Wheat's crawfish pie was unseasoned and bland. Not satisfied. $5
Jack Dempsey's in the Jax parking lot doing a softshell poboy. Gonna try to hit that up tomorrow and a few others.

Try the prime rib from Boucherie. It sounds good, but I didn't want onion breath at that particular moment.

All washed down with Big Easy IPA

Had
Boucherie- 12 hour poboy and Krispy Kreme bread pudding. Both very good
Redfish grill - redfish bisque. It was ok/good
Lorett'a pralines - Crab beignet. Very good. Probably my favorite of day so far.
Jaquemo's- shrimp and alligator cheesecake. Good.
Big Cheezy- grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. Good.
All shared with my wife. Everything we tried was good pretty much. Now time for beer and cocktails.
