I really don't remember it raining this much so early in the year in S Louisiana. Is this year just an anamoly or does it occur more often than I can think of?
I seem to remember Feb and early March being pretty gray and rainy in Louisiana....although I'm not sure about 20" of rain in one system.

It will probably be a good comparison to the 1993 flood event in NW LA (either 92 or 93 can't remember exactly).

Would you mind posting some sort of updated rainfall projections? Like something from the NWS, not The Weather Channel or some bs.
This is the NWS WPC (Weather Prediction Center) forecast for the next 3 days:
Upgraded Euro has higher totals but WPC usually forecast on the conservative side. So think about that, that image is probably a conservative call.

How the frick does the NWS miss this forecast by 200 miles? All this rain we were supposed to get in LC ended up in Shreveport. I could understand if it were an hour away or whatnot, but 200 miles?
This is one of NWS's all time busts events here. Thays an understatement.

System is digging far south, tapping deep tropical moisture, and pumping it north

You sure you want to jinx yourself like that. This thing isn't over.

After ehat they've been saying all week and what's happened so far and where it's all tracked. I expect 2", tops

KPLC just reported that we're not out of the woods yet

They're the main culprits that hyped this bust up to 12"+

Will I-49 be closed from Alexandria to Shreveport if this forecast holds? Does that stretch of the interstate flood up there?
