Golfers: How often to you practice putting?

Do you put a couple of half hour sessions in during the week after work?
On your lunch break a couple times a week?
Do you try to set aside a time on the weekend?
Where and how often do you practice putting?

We have a group that plays stymie every Friday and Sunday.
It's made me a much better putter.

Generally I spend 10-15 minutes after my round on the putting green while I finish off my last beer

Have a putting green at my house. Make 3 in a row most days after work. Sometime it takes 20 tries sometimes it's only 1

This is me as well but I'm trying to change this.
Great putting is how you dominate.

Same here, which is why I'm striking it great but can't score for shite.

At the driving range. Always try to slow down and cool down on the putting green if the facility I am at has one. Otherwise the 5-10 mintues before a round.

I probably practice about once every two weeks or so. Putting is the first place I go to before a round and before practicing either chipping, irons, or woods. I work on keeping my hands quiet and picking a spot 3 feet ahead of my ball. If I misread, I misread. Tempo/pace is also something I pay attention to but it's not what I work on most.

When I was playing a lot and playing competitively, my practice sessions usually broke down something like this:
- 45 to 50 minutes on the full swing (and a good chunk of this was on driving)
- 45 to 50 minutes on wedge game from 120 to 40 yards
- 60 minutes on greenside short game (pitching, chipping, bunker)
- 35 to 40 minutes putting
It was a pretty structured routine, and I'd adjust as necessary if one part of my game was slacking. Also, a big thing for me was knowing when to pull back and stop hitting balls if you're swing felt like crap.

25 minutes at a time. Twice a week reading and different distance putts.

Everyday for a few minutes. I have a burble carpet so I just putt on that.

You hit 14 drivers (max) a round and 30-36 putts. But people just want to pound drivers on the range.
I go one day a week at lunch and just putt. 5-10 footers only. Then spend 30-45 min on Sat mornings doing putting drills. I spend very little time on lag putts or medium range putts.

Couple days a week i go to the chipping and putting green and spend 45 minutes during my lunch break. It goes a long way when it comes to playing in a round trust me. I am not the best ball striker and it continuously saves me around the greens. One question fellow golfers. I have a tendency to leave my club face open at contact sometimes. Any drills I could do on the range to help shake this of?. It doesn't happen all the time but it comes in spells.

They say to practice the shite out of 3-7 feet until those are almost automatic. I mean non stop until you feel every putt from this range will go in no matter what. You can lag a few here and there for practice, but mainly practice 3-7 foot putts. It also helps seeing them go in from that range as opposed to practicing 15 footers and missing most of them.
Its better to practice success than failure when putting.
If you can become a machine from 3-7 feet you will be a great putter.
