Hey I have some recommendations for Jacksonville depending on what you wanna do and how long you will be in the area
it is for a wedding and I am in it so I am pretty busy but I got Thursday afternoon/night to explore. I am staying downtown.

You not going to give us the date of the Envie bottle? I thought that was now the cool thing to do?
I can't wait to watch the nerds this weekend turn their nose up at month old Envie.
More for me and the host.

[/quote} business district or what location?
as I mentioned in your post...
Around the beach I would hit up Green Room/Engine 15 for drinks (Engine 15 has local guest taps and food)
If you are looking at food it depends on where you are located

The Omni, first time going there I have no idea what is what.

We were right on the other side of the bridge, walked across it one day and ate at a pizza place near the Omni and then went to the minor league baseball game. Ate at the Burrito Gallery for pizza which wasn't bad and if you cross over the bridge eat at European Street Cafe for good food and beer...
from where you are staying Aardwolf is not far for a good beer and Bold City/Intuition works, I would avoid River City as they are just not that good. We ate mostly in the business district as we ate at the Chart House, Sake house, BB;s restaurant and bar, European Street Cafe, and breakfast we ate at THE Brick Coffee House and Urban grind.

Maybe Jax could see it in his heart to send an overnight care package of sticky stuff to support the cause.

My memory is from 2 years ago but I certainly enjoyed it... My yelp review is positive a 4/5 at least... I can not remember too much outside of what I can look up.
Looking at menu now, we had...
stued mozzarella bruschetta
mozzarella lled sourdough with marinated tomatoes, pinenuts, & fresh basil 11
tuscan grilled chicken breast sandwich
grilled chicken {all natural, no hormones, no antibiotics}, wild mushrooms, prosciutto ham, asiago,
a creamy horseradish mayonnaise & on toasted telera roll 13.
and some wine... I remember thinking it was all very good but not exceptional
from that location Aardwolf is only a short 5 minute walk I believe...

I enjoyed it, we stayed at the Double Tree but Hilton, from our hotel we could see the bridge and river... Stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the walk/UBERS to most places.
Bought beer at a place called Grassroots Natural Market
