Did you watch the show? Were you expecting them to have made an arrest by the end?
I know a few of these guys professionally, and the show really does make working a case a lot more dramatic than it needs to be.

“We’re still exploring all avenues,” Maj. Ronnie Hebert said. “This is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. We’ll go until we can’t go anymore.”
“Killing Fields” officially wrapped its first season with a special bonus episode on Tuesday that gave viewers additional insight into Iberville detectives’ investigation of the murder of Eugenie Boisfontaine.
Boisfontaine, who was a 34-year-old divorcée at the time she was killed, was believed to have been kidnapped near the LSU lakes in Baton Rouge in June 1997. She lived on nearby Stanford Avenue.

“Police work cannot be solved in a six-hour series,” Detective Aubrey St. Angelo said. “Some of these leads could have validity to them, but it’s tough working all our other cases and chasing all the leads on this down, too.”

Sad. And unreal.
I'd conceal carry without a permit.

The case deserves to be brought back into attention, but the show was ridiculously over the top.

No, we'd have seen it in the news.

I enjoyed it albeit a little cheesy and cliche'. Just thought a few things were blatantly stupid:
1. pretending to randomly meet the owner at a CLOSED Gator Bar. BTW do people knot realize why the owners of the Gator Bar(Bayou Tours) would not really care to speak to anyone who works for the parish?
2. meeting his 'informant' in the titty bar to later have another 'informant' come back to the fishing spot across the street from the bar. Contrived to say the least.
3. staking out the "Missing" flyers on the post on Stanford. That is creepy shite that DTL(as if anyone else did it) took them down 5 times but posting them and waiting that night was a big waste of time(but good TV I guess).

How many episodes did this end up being? I tried to catch the last one or two online last night but Discovery removed them from the website.
