Did anyone else's go up this year? I have 2 cars insured and an increase of $500 total over last year.
Should I be shopping?

State Farm went up significantly on my wife's car, and she has no wrecks or tickets. The agent could not really explain why it went up so much, and she acted like she didn't care. So, we are shopping around and already have a quote from Geico for the exact same coverage on both our cars for half of what SF is trying to charge us. Bye, bye State Farm, after 9 years of business.

Yep, state farm just went up on me. No tickets and no wrecks. Shopping starts this week.

Mine goes up each year at renewal, I call the agent, and he adjusts back down. Try that.

Progressive has cut mine the last 4-5 years in a row now, by about 10% each year. I've never filed a claim, but couldn't be happier with the rates. I also get a roughly 10% discount when I pay 6 months at a time. And they take credit cards without additional fees! (Points)

Are you in South Louisiana?

Yeah, BR.
It's been the same car, so value is obviously decreasing - which I'm sure helps.

Yes shop around. Last year I was fed up with statefarm. Every year our insurance was going up like $300 per year and nothing changed. Me and my wife's car was like $3200 per year, 50k/100k, uninsured motorist, $500 deductibles. Switched to safe co. Paying $2050 per year 100k/300k, uninsured motorist, $500 deductibles and added rental car. From last year to this year it went up like $20 total on the year.

Left State Farm last year after 10 years because they went up on my homeowners insurance 25% for no reason last year. Check out safeco. A coworker got a ridiculous rate from them on his two cars. Saved him about a grand a year.

If your agent is adjusting the premium, get ready to visit him/her in prison.

Talked my agent the other day, they sell 5-6 different insurance conpany coverages, and stated Progressive is cheapest 90% of the time. I been with Progressive for 5 years and love them. Had hit n run happen, they were amazing with getting repairs done and rental, I only had to pick up the phone twice (to let me know my truck needed some additional repairs and confirm my rental was extended and then to let me know my truck was ready), adjuster even had my rental running with AC on and full tank of gas before I even signed off. They have me for life, plus they are cheapest too is just lagniappe

We pay about $900 a year with USAA. Haven't ever shopped around.

Was with SF for 12 years, switched to Liberty Mutual 4 years ago and haven't looked back.

I'm looking at leaving USAA because I'm paying $172 for 2 vehicles (1 is a 2011 sedan with almost 100K miles, the other is a 2016 Mazda CX5). I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on Geico. Surely $172 is too much?

I had 50k/100k with State Farm and swapped to Safeco added my wife and her car and wet to 500CSL. It only cost me $16 more to do all that. I added a $1mil umbrella on top for $16/month

There is no single company that is cheaper- it depends on your individual case- Credit score has a lot to do with it and of course your driving record-
I left State Farm this year - checked a half a dozen companies -
Wound up with Hartford and save almost 2K-
Next up homeowners

Switched from Allstate to Geico. Went from $325/month to $130/ month for 2 vehicles and a motorcycle. Progressive was about in between the two.
