Have to look for that one, we have friends down in Braithwaite.

I enjoy Laura Plantation. Has a neat story.

I like staying on the grounds of Butler-Greenwood in St. F. I read the book Weep for the Living by the owner, Anne Butler, in which she recounts her attempted murder by her then husband, former Angola Warden Murray Henderson in the sunroom of the house. Very interesting story and she will talk to you about it if you ask.

Is that the ruin you can see on River Road south of downtown BR? I've always wondered about that place.

Constructed in 1832, Arlington Plantation House was the home of Edward Sparrow, a wealthy member of the Confederate government during the Civil War. Sparrow modified the building by raising the original structure and adding an additional floor underneath. In 1863 the building served briefly as the headquarters for General Ulysses S. Grant while the Union army moved through East Carroll Parish. The Arlington Plantation House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This is the Magnolia Ridge in Washington. Unless my people have sold it without my knowing-which is def. possible, we're distant relatives-I don't think we're talking about the same place.

Ah yes, the best. Between there and the Commons, there was always a party in the late 90's, early 2000's.

I like the look of Ardoyne in Houma. It isn't as grand as some others but has some neat architectural details.

I bet that one has ghosts. If I was a ghost, that's where I would hang out.

Evergreen Plantation, formerly known as the Becnel plantation. If you are one of the roughly 11 generations of Becnels anywhere from Plaquemines Parish to the River Parishes, your people are related and all came from one man, who's offspring ruled the place.

I like Houma House so far the most. Haven't seen most of them though.
