Which is your favorite? I pepersonally prefer GoT but love both. (Hobbit not so much.)

Lord of the Rings is a beautiful story about the perserverence of good over evil through sacraficed.

GoT is written for immature teenagers.

I love GoT. Absolutely love it.

Lord of the Rings is WAY better, though. IMO.

Is this a joke? GOT is nice but Lord of The Rings is High and Mighty. LOTR Books and Movies are better so frick off.

If this was a book topic, I'd say you had something. However there's really no comparison between these two as they're very different. Though, I would totally be down for a LOTR television show on HBO.

Even George R.R. Martin knows Lord of the Rings is superior. I prefer The Hobbit over both, though.

Without lord of the rings there is no game of thrones. Also, lord of the rings has the advantage of being done, while game of thrones could still bomb at be end.

That said, I'm significantly more captivated by game of thrones, so that's what I'll go with.

Maybe I missed it as I only saw it once:

LOTR- dude walks a ring to a lava pit over 3 movies, with just some fighting scenes with weird looking creatures mixed in

GOT- 20 different main characters, like a maze, not knowing which to follow to the end.

I like the complexity of GOT, and never understood what the fascination with the Ring was anyway.

Books-wise, they are on a level playing field and are both fantastic.

Movies/tv show-wise, GoT cant even hold LOTR's jockstrap and I'm offended by the question. It's like asking if the Godfather or the tv mini-series about the Teflon Don is better.
