grill marks on a steak is for rednecks

Was this an OT pronouncement?


In a restaurant type setting, it does sort of hearken back to places like Sizzler or Bonanza, though, I guess.

ya, i said it, but you take it out of context.

my goal when i grill a steak is to grill the best steak possible, not to have pretty grill marks. Sure most of the time they end up with grill marks, but only rednecks attempt to have the perfect grill marks( or brag about them like you did in the other thread). C'mon baw.

My son in the Marines brought me some MRE chicken. It had grill marks. They were painted on with food coloring. It did look kinda appetizing.

I never knew I was a redneck...I put a beautiful criss cross pattern of grill marks on my steaks

Only trash cooks their steak any other way than sous vide.
