Careful...last time I checked, we're all from the same state. Maybe that's why the kids in the northern part of the state look elsewhere is because of dumbass statements like this. It's a fertile ground just like the rest of the state.

I've heard this statement a few times on this board and has to be the most retarded thing said on here. So is North Louisiana not apart of Louisiana? It's that thinking is why we continue to lose north LA recruits. Say what you want about North LA but if LSU recruited that area better we wouldn't lose to North LA recruits every year...smh. And for the other retards on this thread who know nothing about Patterson...he played in Louisiana just 5 months ago. Not 2 years ago. He played in Louisiana for 2 years but was here for almost 3. He was in Louisiana for longer than Texas....he's originally from Ohio. We had his brother on staff with all his friends and family in Louisiana so he had ALL allegiance to Louisiana and he was LSU to lose. Some of you dumbarses have to come up with excuses to mentally get over us losing him to OM....all y'all wanted to put all your stock in Frank's our savior saying Shea had no chest to compete and now we have neither. Smh. LSU will beat OM but we let them have the best QB in this class so OM won't be fading away to the bottom of the SEC anytime soon.

An before anyone says a retard comment like "hey Mr Patterson" I'm actually the guy who trained SP since he stepped foot in Louisiana. Now please stop with the SP threads....and actually talk about guys we do have committed or going after.

I'm not worried. We took care of them when they had Eli.

So which LSU coach would you like to fire so that Shea's brother can ride Shea's coattails at LSU?

Exactly. I dont know how many times they have to whoop our arse before our fans stop counting them as an automatic win in the preseason. same with Arkansas. These 2 teams frick with Miles bad.

Why are you being a dick?
because guys like you repeat shite like this, then the other folks tell a couple...the next thing you know we got thousands of folks running around talking about:

1) LSU cant recruit
2) LSU specifically cant recruit N LA
3) Who is recruiting NLA, he must suck.
4) Ole Miss is out working us on the recruiting trail
5) Fence is down

and on and on and on.

I just think that if you care enough to be 'bothered' you would care enough to do a little reading prior to cementing your opinion.

So dawg, you think if we hired the brother, Shea still goes to Ole Miss.

Cause when he was at Arizona, Shea was going there. When he was at LSU he was coming to LSU, when he was hired on at Ole Miss, voila.

Seems like a bit of a pattern. But you know best, it must be because Frank let us down.

BTW, it is rare for a University to lock down an entire state....shite even with AU and Bama in Alabama, Mobile recruits tend to wander off.

Of course it is, it is just geography. Being up there puts a lot of schools in play. Arky, Bama, TCU, Oklahoma, OSU, Ole Miss....and on and on are only an hour or two more travel time for families than LSU.

Saying it isn't a hotbed for LSU isn't a slight on the efforts from LSU or the talent in the area.

What? Your post doesn't make much sense so I'll try to answer what I think your trying to say. My point was that LSU had Shea and he was LSUs to lose....if LSU would have found a way to have kept his brother on staff LSU would have the #1 QB in the country enrolled at LSU this semester. That's a garuntee....not a guess. I worked out with Shea 6 days a week and he was 100% LSU even with Frank's committed....a guy like Shea isn't scared to compete and he knew he would beat out Frank's. Everyday we worked out all he talked about was LSU until word was his brother wouldn't have a job much longer and then Ole Miss started creeping in and then our convos became less about LSU and more about OM.

I also know it's impossible for LSU to get every LA recruit but some posters here act is if North LA isn't LSU territory when it could be if LSU put the effort in. It's become laid back in that part of the state and has caused some recruits to get away that usually hurt us down the road. Some of the SECs best players are LA boys.

Ok and what has LSU been lacking over the past 6 years except for Mett's senior year? A productive QB!!!!

So what you are saying is no matter the effort we put in with Shea we had to hire his brother for his services.

But you say the reason we lost is lack of effort. Does paying off brother equal effort?

It sounds like you just verified the general consensus of a package deal. Like I said before, I think he will be OK in college, but not going to be anywhere near #1 QB in his class when it is all said and done and definitely not going to push LSU into hiring a family member.

Well It bothers me that Ole Miss is getting the #1 QB that played in our backyard and we haven't signed anyone yet. BUT I won't lose any sleep over it and I definelty won't be wishing him any luck.
