Well It bothers me that Ole Miss is getting the #1 QB that played in our backyard

He's not from here and hasn't played in your backyard in 2 years.

So LSU is going to sign the:
#2 cornerback (Smith)
#3 cornerback (Mullen)
#4 cornerback (Fulton)
#2 safety (Monroe)
#4 outside linebacker (Divinity)
#5 outside linebacker (Fowler)
#5 defensive tackle (Lawrence)
#6 defensive tackle (Alexander)

And, yet, we still have no QB committed.

The score was 45-40. Defense didn't win shite. Whoever had the ball last was winning that game.

Not to mention UNC, USCjr, and NCstate also put up a ton of points against Clemson. Aside from Bama's wins the national winner has usually had a qb that either won or was in the Heisman race so that argument actually the complete opposite.

I agree. Sorry but the kid still need a lot of work to be SEC ready and he is not going to be developed at Ole Piss. Their coaching staff is a one trick pony joke. I know some of you think they are contenders but they are not. They just aren't. I don't care who they recruit, they will never win a NC.

Looked to me it was special teams... Bama defense was not gonna hold up against Watson... Just sayin

He's really good. Let's be clear. You just never know how these kids will react to the college game. It's a bit different when the Sabans, Chavis', Mushcamps & Arandas of the world are scheming against you.

***********************************************************************

Clemson QB threw for over 400 yds , 4 TDs, team got nearly 600 yds total offense and put up 40 pts on the all-powerful Bama D .. 'Bama won game b/c of a 95 yd KO return ( well, that WAS the difference now , weren't it ) , and a well timed/executed "on-side kick" . Sorry , but "D" did not win the championship. True.

Ole Miss signs the #1 QB in the nation...

I watched him play in the Army game. He did impress. However, he's listed as 6' 1" 192 lbs and from the looks of it, that's stretching it. He will be good, no doubt. But he'll have to bulk up a good bit for SEC play. They sure won't let him fling it all over the field without getting in some licks. Aranda will play an aggressive, attacking defense with the corners playing man-to-man. I sure like our chances from here on out against any offense. It'll be interesting to see it all unfold. Regardless......

Shea seems to just have it. I think he would succeed any where. Would have loved him at LSU.

And LSU. That said, team success has a huge part to play in the Heisman and it is also a very QB-oriented award. Furthermore, those Bama teams that won without a Heisman QB have done so with a Heisman RB usually. The real correlation is that, in recent history Heisman winners usually make the championship game regardless of position. This furthers the point that it's predicated largely on team success.

This is all very true. I would also love to have him at LSU, but I'd still take our recruiting class over theirs.

Ole Miss should still bother us regardless. The game has been decided by 6 points or less 6 times in the last 10 years. The other four times were won by 17+ points with both team getting two of these big wins.

I'm telling you guys that Ole Miss isn't some chump like you think they are. I'm not saying they are going to be the next Baylor or Clemson...yet, but this team will be a top 15 team for the foreseeable future IMO.

Well, I guess this post is slightly better than those posts that ask how we let a Louisiana QB go out of state. But not by much.

This year it was offense that won the championship. Both defenses were torched.

If anyone knows how much a difference a solid/elite qb can make, it should be us.
