We will be very dominant if White and Beckwith stay

Even though we lost 3 games, we dominated the rest with a talented, but not deep, defense. If White and Beckwith stay, we will be one of the deepest and most talented defenses in the country for Aranda to utilize after NSD. We will have a junior/senior laden team like Mississippi State had in 2014. With plenty of experience under his belt and more urgency to be effective offensively, Harris and Cameron will create opportunities for the offense next season with plenty of talented weapons to utilize.
These guys want to win a championship. Next season is a golden opportunity if the guys stay one more year. After next season, an NFL draft class consisting of Fournette, Dupre, Godchaux, Beckwith, Adams, Pocic, and White need some more hardware in the trophy case for their dedication and legacy. I'm really hoping the guys stay because that's my vision if they do. It would be a good year of LSU football with the heavyweights like Alabama and Ole Miss at home.

very big "if" you're talking about

I was thinking that we'd just be dominant. But, very dominant = ship!

Beckwith likely stays. No way White stays though.

Supposedly neal is considering leaving as well. He is a big peice for us next year as well.

People need to pump the brakes and get a dose of reality. We are on our 3 DC in 3 yrs. I like our new hire but he's bringing in whole new system and if anybody thinks he's just gonna roll 11 guys out there and have them play like this year's Alabama D, they're in for a rude awakening.
That being said, having Beckwith and White would help, but if not I like the fact that Aranda is a guy who makes his system fit the personnel and not the other way around.

There's always someone who leaves whom we didn't expect to lose. Usually, it's a bad idea. Sometimes, like for Trai Turner, it works out.
But Beckwith is the most important of these decisions, by far. The OL would take a hit if Pocic left, but we've got solid talent behind him. I think the hit from White leaving would be very small, because I think KT2 and DJ1 are going to be very good, and we've got Saivion Smith and other talent coming in. It would hurt if Neal left, but not nearly as badly as Beckwith, simply because we have less depth at LB---in fact, we don't have any at all.

We didnt dominate hardly anyone on defense. It was very poor this year, compared to our normal standard.

the "want" to win can go only as far as the plays being called

Pocic has to stay...we cannot afford to lose 3 starters on the OL.
Neal and Beckwith have to both stay. It starts with the front 7 on defense and the OL if you desire to be "dominant". The secondary does not have as much to do with being "dominant". Bama has an "okay" secondary. Interior line play is the biggest factor in playing for championships.

Ole Miss could surprise but they're one great recruiting class(Not just high ranking but guys who panned out) is just about all done.
Bama and Florida are heavyweights next season, along with Wisconsin. IMO,OM falls into that next level of good teams with potential to be very good; along with Arkansas, aTm, Auburn and MSU.
