https://espn.go.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/9070662/women-ncaa-teams-post-strong-graduation-numbers

In case the link doesn't work. It is from ESPN, 2013 article. It says in the first sentence, "The 64 schools in the women's NCAA basketball tournament combined to graduate 90 percent of their players."

So Nikki Caldwell producing good academic results at LSU is not unique and it should not be the reason she keeps her job. She was hired at a salary of $750,000.00 per year in a non revenue producing sport. She has not produced. Bottomline.

They need to look at Chanda Husser Rigby, the head coach at Troy U. She's from Louisiana and is #1 in the country in turning programs around!

I think once she realized she wasn't getting the Tenn. job, she lost her motivation.

That was Warlick's job for at least a year before she officially became the coach there.

She was a great hire, but her inability to recruit here is her downfall. What I want to know is what the hell is she selling to these recruits for them not to even consider us? We have top notch facilities, a lot of rich history, and so much more to offer. I feel like something is up. Caldwell recruited well at UCLA but she can't do anything here.

Depending how things play out, its likely she gets booted.

IDK who we would go after, I think we need someone who is a top notch recruiter at this point. Our talent level is depleted. There was a small rumor going around Ayanna Mitchell was thinking about transferring.

I keep telling people that hate Alleva for the hire that Caldwell was actually an excellent hire at the time. I thought she was as good of a hire as we could have made in fact.

Yes, I recall that at the time she was hired, she was praised as an excellent choice. But as noted by others, Caldwell has not recruited very well for the most part in her time at LSU.

Alleva needs to be held accountable for this. I just wish LSU would get rid of him so that someone else could be involved in the hiring of successors to Caldwell, Miles and others down the road.

It would probably help if she lived here in the off season...
