Yes, but Harris and our other QBs need that coach AT LSU.
He isn't looking for a college coaching job.

Our QBs need the coaching consistency.
I actually think its worse to go work with an elite QB coach, then go back home to your OC (who likes to think he's also an elite QB coach).
While I would normally agree with this, LSU's coaching staff is not allowed to work him out over the summer, so working with the likes of Whitfield or the Manning Passing Academy are the only options for coaching.

Our best shot at success is Etling, because of his prior development and lack of tainting by this coaching staff.

I expect major improvements this offseason.
This statement makes me shake my head a hell of a lot more than when someone says they have sources.
This is what I hear when I read that: Despite 6 years of evidence against it I expect change and improvement where obviously I shouldn't.

For example, can anyone name Drew Brees' QB coach
Ask Brees who he credits a great deal of his development as a QB too.
Although I agree that person doesn't appear to have worked any magic with Harris this season.

For example, can anyone name Drew Brees' QB coach at Purdue? I can't. Why? Probaby because Brees didn't need an elite QB coach to be an elite QB. You either have it or you don't.
Nobody is asking for an elite QB. How about serviceable? Its on the staff though... either talent evaluation, or talent development. There is no getting around that.

Whats not weird about what Miles does. Also, this was told to me at the start of the season about McMillan. A time when Harris was progrssing into what we thought was a good QB. His performance has fallen off the planet since the Florida game.
Thanks for looking my post up and trying to put your on spin on it. What a dipshit.

Because you don't know shite about the history of college football?
His coach was one of the father's of the spread offense. Joe Tiller and basketball on grass

Harris is not the answer. No improvement over the season.
That's what I have been saying- it's time to take off the 'he's young' protective shield; Harris is as good as he is going to get and let's forget the upside factor, there is none. He is a decent backup, that is all...

I'll believe it when I see it

He'll be a redshirt freshman who showed promise in the Spring game after leading his HS team to state championships. He's smart and I think will prove capable of distributing the ball to our playmakers and managing the game efficiently.
He was rotated in and out during the championship game....he wasn't the pocket guy either FWIW.

There was improved qb play this year. So I don't see how it is out if the question.

Wow. I feel like I've gotten in a time machine to last year.
Everybody's still holding out hope for the backup. That coaching change would be nice right about now.

Not to mention, that everyone has been taking a shite on McMillan since he signed. Just waitin' on Franks. Well...
Posted on 11/30/15 at 11:37 pm to tFearIsReal
Screw Quarterbacks and screw passing. We should just run the bone and be done with it.
Posted on 11/30/15 at 11:37 pm to tFearIsReal
I've always felt McMillan was good and could possibly develop into a decent QB. I'd like to see him get some action.

If the wishbone got LSU an SEC title and a playoff appearance, I'd be fine with it.
Just win.
