Any title game in California should be at the Rose Bowl

If not for this upcoming game, 2020 in New Orleans fits the LSU playing a title game in NOLA every 4 years nicely.

2004 - Win vs OU
2008 - Win vs OSU
2012 - I can't recall the result of this game
2016 - Pattern killer
2020 - LSU beats new power house Kansas in the title game in NOLA.

I really like the Rose Bowl.

The scene outside the stadium is great. Perfect area for tailgating and it helps to have rolling hills/mountains in view.

Additionally, I really like the orientation of the seating. I actually like the gradual upward slope of the seating and the fact that you have good sight lines at almost every spot in the stadium.

The concourses are a mess, though.

Absolutely. And still a better venue for a title game than Santa Clara

I don't think climate should pay into this much as it's not a week long party like the Super Bowl. I agree, Minny deserves it. Indy gets B1G, so I don't think they do (although I get that ATL has SEC and the bowl/championship game). Ford Field is a great venue and Detroit at least has casinos, but yeah, I would feel bad for those teams having to come here.

It'd be great if they at least pretended like they cared about the fans up north by putting one in the new stadium in Minneparis.

Not a week long, but definitely a few days. So you have to take the climate into account.

Sweet. I don't have to book a hotel or flight for AU in '18.

Maybe it's just me being a northerner coming out, but there is still plenty to do in Minneapolis.

There are a lot of great restaurants throughout the city, different "parts" (i.e. Dinkytown, Uptown, Downtown, North Loop, Northeast) with an abundance of bars, and there are no shortages of breweries and brewpubs.

It's too bad Minneapolis is as cold as it is in January because the summer months are beautiful.

not sure if sarcasm or pure ignorance. Big Sur and the Monterey Peninsula are maybe the most naturally beautiful places in the nation.
