Sadly I've paid around $10 interest since graduating from College. Forgot a 0% promo had expired
Paid it off immediately

Few hundred dollars on smaller cards. My main card is an AMEX that I put mostly everything on and pay off every month.
My student loans, however, are the bane of my existence.
To add some variety to this thread, I wasn't always financially responsible. I've had multiple charge offs and what not prior to my current career which I landed in 2011.

Yep all of this. If you are in stable financial condition, no reason not to use the credit cards to their advantage and never pay interest. Statement Balance each month and you'r good. Never buy what you don't intend to pay off that month unless its a 0% interest card.

This. Except for 1 time. I'm the kind of guy who pays bills when they come in the mail. It always seemed logical to me. But I got a Visa bill with a late interest fee of $100. I called Visa and told them that I didn't get a bill last month.
Them: "We sent it. If you didn't get it it's not our fault. You should know it comes on the 25th of every month and if the mailman loses it just send us what you think you owe".
Me: "I understand that some people may use this excuse to get out of paying a late fee when they actually got the bill. But if you check my records I've never failed to pay off my Visa bill in 35 years. That's 420 straight months. Don't you think it's more likely that you made a mistake?"
Them: "It's more likely that the post office made a mistake but it's your responsibility to know what day the bill normally comes."

our largest debt are student loans on two of our children and if all goes according to desire this plague will be eradicated before Santa Claus visits...my biggest mistakes financially were:
not teaching our children about the real purpose and value of money, and
not setting aside monies for their education

About 6 months ago, a lot of deals came up on large items I wanted to purchase and I went into a bit of credit card debt for the savings. Overall, I ended up around 1,800 in debt and saved around $400.00.
It took me longer to pay it off than I anticipated because I had a couple of expenses I wasn't expecting. While I saved money, I will try not to ever do that again, and instead I'm building up a fund if that situation ever arises again. I hated the stress.
I have around 6k in student loans that I'm stretching out as long as possible so I can have an open line of credit for house purchasing purposes in 3 years or so and my vehicle which is currently worth more than I owe and will be paid off before 2017 ends.

$3955 on one card
Around $1000 on another
Going to pay the $1000 one off this month
Working on the other one $400 at a time, sometime more.
I have no problem admitting that I was doing some dumb shite a couple years ago with them. Now I'm climbing out of the hole I put myself in.
Started off somewhere around 12,000 at the start of the year. Still got a ways to go, but it's nice to see some progress.
Once I get it done, I'm going to start over and get one with better rewards and do the pay the balance every month thing.

The only debt I have is 3 more months on a car not that I financed for five years and about to pay it off in two, my wife has student loans which will be the next debt we'll try to get rid of, and a mortgage which for not we send about $75 more each month to aid in lowering the payoff time and interest paid. Once we get rid of her student loan debt we'll send more money on the mortgage. We are 3 years into a 30yr term mortgage right now, but my my goal is to have it paid off in 20 yrs.

Online automatic bill pay, old man
Several thousand dollars monthly, but paid in full every month. I've never once carried a balance, much less paid interest.

Mint tells me $4,300.
I pay them all off every month.
Mint has been judging me real hard.

At most 3 grand per month, but it is paid in full each month. I have yet to incur interest on a credit card. I try to put everything on the card.

Combined Student Loans - $Basically a beach condo
I'm in this situation. I could have bought a nice fishing camp or a pretty badass center console offshore boat for what we will end up paying in student loans. The terrible part is I inherited the debt with marriage. My wife's job is to pay off her student loans and cover daycare at the moment . But in a few years we'll have more money than we know what to do with, so there's the bright side of it
