You've never woken up blackout next to a chick you didn't know you fricked?

I tell you what. If I was a single guy, the last thing I'd be doing is taking home random intoxicated girls I couldn't trust. I keep warning my newly single friend to be fricking careful. It is just too with this shite happening.
People think I'm a prude, but this is exactly how I feel.

find the "easy target" super drunk chick in the bar and proceed to hit her up while also getting drunk themselves. Not sure where that falls here

Honestly, no. I may not remember every single detail leading up to culmination, but I've never woken up and said "oh gee, who's the bitch and where did she come from. I wonder if we had sex."

The funny thing is, it's really fricking up women too, but there are lagging indicators in respect of the effects.

If I have, does that make me a raper or a rapee?

Yeah this isn't theory. Like you, I'm a guy with a penis who has done more than his fair share or drinking and boning. I'm 32, so college hookups aren't that damned far in the past, and the rules still pretty much apply in the grown-up world, though obviously we get less sex in our 30s and the women who come home with us aren't curious wilting flowers looking for acceptance in the scene. I can't speak for your body, but enough alcohol to send me in and out of a fugue state is enough to make maintaining an erection difficult, and enough to make the idea of physical exertion somewhat less appealing. Not saying the guy wasn't drunk. I'm saying he probably was so drunk that he couldn't keep the count. Even when I'm drunk it's not hard to spot the people who are obviously much, much drunker than I am.
All I can say is that on many hungover mornings I asked my gf at the time if we did it the night before. Granted it was a mutual decision.
Maybe that's the solution here- only get blackout drunk with people you feel comfortable doing it with at the end of the night. Though that may require a higher level of responsibility.

Definitely makes you a target if you wander into the wrong bar.
I see this in your future:

Do you mean you fricked a chick you didn't know?
Or you didn't know you fricked the chick?
Either way, my answer is no. As it is for most people. Even when drinking really heavily, I'm able to remember having sex.

You may have been saying this lightly, but I take this one step farther. I only get drunk around people I trust. And before someone says, "just don't get drunk at all" I'll preemptively reply "frick that shite."

TL;DR but I'll just say this. Y'all know women are crazy so stop drunkenly hooking up with them. This will reduce your risk of being a baby daddy and of catching aids.

I guess it's more a college thing, but by the time you've been around the block a few times you should be better able to make reasoned decisions about sex--even while intoxicated. You don't treat every single hookup like "this may be the last time I'll be within 2 feet of a naked vagina for months."

This is something I've thought about recently as the father of a son just entering his teens. I know in a few years he'll go off to college. And before he goes, I know I've got to sit down and warn him about the possible consequences of going out, getting shite-face drunk, and then hooking up with a girl... Namely that girl who was all "go" the night before suddenly deciding she was "raped" the next day.

WYHI?
BTW, her Facebook was easy to find and viewable to the public if anyone wants to share your opinion with her or ask any questions.

Also, why is it that for rape accusations people who would normally subscribe to the saying of "better 10 guilty men go free than 1 innocent man be convicted" are suddenly of the mindset of "believe every word the woman says and let men fry?"
C'mon, don't be ridiculous, that isn't what I'm advocating for at all.
However, to address your concerns, you have to be conscious of the fact that rape, like murder and other assaults, has a human victim. We're not dealing with property crimes, and you can probably argue that rape is right behind murder when it comes to crimes that have the most devastating human impact.
I think the false accusations are a problem, don't get me wrong, but I'm not ready to swing to the other side and start blaming true victims as well. I find the hypocrisy in these threads to be ridiculous. Most people agree that it is disheartening to see someone's life ruined because people immediately believe the accusations and treat the accused like he is guilty already, yet they are all to ready to belittle the accuser in these type of situations. That doesn't make any sense, and some people are just as bad as those they despise.

I drank my fair share in college and not once did I put myself in a situation where rape would be an easy option.

Maybe this is why there are so many sex tapes now. Sorry babe, I have to film this for proof I didn't rape you.
You joke, yet video is just about the only evidence there could possibly be. There was a really bad case at Amherst about 'yes means yes' policies.
quote:
The incident in question took place on the night of February 4 / morning of February 5, 2012. Doe was drunk to the point of incapacitation when he and Jones—his girlfriend’s roommate—began a mutually-consensual sexual encounter. Jones claimed that while she was performing oral sex on him, she withdrew consent and tried to stop. Doe held her head and forced her to keep going, she alleged. Doe denied doing so, but couldn’t remember exactly what had happened because he was black-out drunk.
After the encounter, Jones kicked Doe out. She then texted her male residential advisor, and another male acquaintance. She invited the acquaintance to come over, and he spent the night with her.
Like I said, its a brave new world out there...
