haha. if i didn't know your post history, i'd have thought you were being cereal.
for the record, the only reason i posted this (besides the fact that i seldom get a chance to post something that hasn't already been posted) is because I find it perplexing that of all the "Real Men" out there from whom other men would want to seek advice on how to be real men, they choose this guy and are apparently willing to pay $50 for it.
To each his own, for sure, but that doesn't prevent me from asking W.T.F.?

OP should be scorned for misleading us.

I hope he actually took her to pound town and didn't just get humiliated for texts or something.

Jus' sayin'
Everyone sins but it seems like the religious are caught up in some sort of sexual deviancy often, whether it's adultery or something worse.

Rizzo coming back to the area is just "bad common sense".
He should stay away.
He should stay away.

yeah, but it's still the HPC "post of the week" because of Dino. didn't mean to mislead + the locale is ultimately irrelevant.
eta (just saw this):

i really didn't. before posting this crap, i did a search for "Dino" "Rizzo" "Real Mean" "Healing Place" and "HPC" and remembered just how many "HPC" threads there are, so I fit it in the theme. I'll change title if it matters.
eta2: not to beat a dead horse here, but "The Church" where this thing is taking place is clearly an offshoot/plant of HPC (and "ARC"). I'd rather be affiliated with THIS "ARC" "Healing Place": LINK

thanks for the context. i was like "who gives a frick" i'm a christian but i HATE conferences, retreats, and the like, but don't judge people who do.
but yeah.... that guy doesn't need to be speaking on anything in the church.

I've met Dino several times Irl.
He is one of the nicest people I've ever come across. So he made a mistake...so what we all do. Cut the man some slack.

and i would argue that he probably should not.
i'm completely about forgiveness, redemption, and couples sticking it out after affairs. But, church leaders who fall into this should probably move out of leadership positions.
we've had deacons and elders fall into that in our church and they are never asked to leave the church, but they don't get to be deacons or elders anymore.

Whatever dude
Cheating on your spouse isn't a big deal anymore. If you were presented with the opportunity to I'm sure you would. I know I would.

I don't think anyone is saying he's not a great guy. There's just a few questions that we need to ask ourselves.
Did he make a mistake?
Maybe
Does he deserve our forgiveness?
Absolutely
Is he an American hero?
Without question.
Should we spend fifty dollars to hear this great man speak and make us better people?
Of course we should.
Now let's all drop our pitchforks and get tickets to this wonderful event so we can move on with our lives.

quote:Probably just seems that way because they are held to a different standard. You don't really care if your golf pro is cheating on his wife with all of the cart girls. Golf pro probably believes it to be wrong, but does it anyway for one reason or another just like a religious leader.
