How full will the bandwagon get this season?

This year, still not to training camp yet, just feels so much different.
The Saints suck. There seems to be a tremendous amount of apathy towards that team.
Anthony Davis's star has risen on the national level, and is about to go nuclear.
Gentry will absolutely bring an exciting brand of basketball that fans will want to see. Big change of pace. Whether that translates to more wins or not I can't say yet, but it will be something fans want to see. MontyBall is dead.
The lower bowl is sold out completely for the first time in New Orleans.
The roster seems to be in a pretty good spot. Nice mix of veterans and young players. Not a championship roster yet, but its a good roster...if healthy. Health is the key obviously, but things seem to be trending a bit up.
I just have this feeling...the Blender is going to be rocking all season long.

Not to mention the huge amount of National TV games we are getting. The League is betting on us.
They only give that many games to two types of teams:
Teams they think are at or moving towards contender status, that will play a fun style of basketball.
Teams that will draw huge ratings no matter how good or bad they are (Lakers/Celtics/Knicks).

It will be nice seeing the arena full for most week night games.

All I know is as soon as we get down by 5-10 pts in the first game or lose a game this board will blow up with a bunch of random frickers popping out of the woodwork who are suddenly Bill Simmons

Pelicans talk needs a census before and after the season to see how many bandwagoners jump on.

I just hope we're over our "noobs are stupid or alters that must be attacked" phase. If people come on here spouting ignorance they need to be enlightened, not attacked.

I rarely post here but I read daily.
Bring on the band wagoners. They can enjoy the rise of this team with those of us who suffered through the rebuild.

There's going to be a lot of new people, and I agree. Sometimes it can be difficult to weed out the bullshite, but you can tell who the obvious trolls are.

All I know is for the first time last week I got a "Go Pels" when I was wearing a Pels shirt up here last week. Normally it's a "what the hell happened to the hornets"

Oh it's coming. Can't wait for the bandwagon.
- Less other-team-nuthuggers for big games
- More intense crowds
- Shows the players the city's confidence in their abilities
Extra traffic will suck a little, but who cares. It's easier to sit in traffic after a win anyways.
One item of note: FIX THE POSTGAME SHOW ON THE RADIO. Such a wasted opportunity to engage the city after big wins specifically. I'll never forget the 07-08 year when a caller called in after the Vikings game and asked jokingly "Can CP3 kick field goals?"
