are fighting words. Kassie Ruocco says "You can't have a Texas Aggie football game without the band, there's no such thing."

So they forfeit? Ok.

that's just plain sad....the Aggie Band is one of the traditions of the rivalry with them....

That is some bullshite. What the hell is going on with telling bands not to come to TS? We sit over visiting bands and, while not a band fan, it's impressive when a big band like Auburn(last Saturday) comes. Furthermore, The Aggie Band marching to TS in the cold rain two years ago was damned awesome sight to see.
This all adds to the competitive spirit of big games. Jus Bafflin'.

Ahh. Okay. I can at least see why they may do that. But definitely let the kids in the facility and play from stands to support their team.

Yeah, I'm not seeing where it says they're not allowed to come to the game...

With you 100%.

Are we at the place where we have to have gimmicks-idiotic pop acts- a la the NFL, to get people to come to games?

No worries. A lot of people in this thread are talking like we don't let any opposing bands come. Have we ever told a school that their band couldn't come...?

As a member of TGBFTL back when we still played the Aggies every year, this is truly sad, and screw Alleva and the administration for this decision. Yes the Aggie fans are delusional and insufferable, but their band, and the precision in their performance, was something I always looked forward to seeing. I don't care if it is the same show every game, every year, it's enjoyable to watch.

And the way this always works is that they will tell our band they aren't welcome to perform at Kyle Field next year in retribution, as well they should. "Bottom Line Bob" had nothing on the POS we have running our athletic department now. He can DIAF tomorrow and it wouldn't be soon enough.

Yep, this will be the end result with Auburn, A&M, Florida, etc.

I disagree with this. Bands are one of many traditions that make college football great.

I think it's stupid Alleva won't let LSU play A&M on Thanksgiving.

I could see if it is a random Thursday, but most have off on Thanksgiving and would have no problem attending the game.

well you can blame it on whoever decided to do years of crappy halftime shows like a tribute to the B-52's or Latin flair..they made halftime a snooze fest, and other band performances regularly were more entertaining the LSU's despite the fact they were significantly lesser bands

No matter what you do be are going to bitch but I am glad they are at least trying to make an effort to up the entertainment value at half

What's the deal with not letting bands perform this year? We told auburn that and now A&M? Pretty confused on that.

You mean people should forget the whole "spend thanksgiving with your family" thing so they can go attend a football game right? Everybody is pretty much off on Saturdays too, so I don't see your point.

1. Any visiting team can bring their full band to TS...it is their choice not LSU's. So, the Aggie marching "Hitler Youth" band can come to TS in November.

2. The Auburn full band was at the game in TS Saturday but did not march at halftime. This must be LSU's new policy.

3. LSU is reducing the visitor allotment in TS from 7K to 6K for 2016. That means LSU will get 6K tickets to SEC stadia in the future instead of the 7K we get now.

4. I noticed the fewest AU fans I have ever seen in the LOwer South. I guess we have moved even more visiting fans to the ozone layer upper areas.

5. It seems like we are moving to where SEC games will be more home-team focused than ever before.
