NFL, easily.
49ers fans, followed by Raiders fans, are in a (suck) league by themselves.
All NFL teams have more than their fair share of shite fans, though.
It's ridiculous to be that big of a fan of an NFL team, especially given how quickly the NFL will move a team.
Watch what happens to the Saints when Mr. Benson passes.

Not saying that LSU doesn't have some a-hole fans, but LSU, by most objective polls, is regarded as pretty friendly venue by most visiting fans.

Yeah could be. Certainly if you go to a big NFL game vs. NCAA game, the difference is stark. NFL games are really, really trashy.

Agreed.
Every year, I read Deadspin's "Why Your Team Sucks" series, and the fan emails are incredible. The amount of trash seemingly every fan of their team has is crazy, and NFL season ticket holders are the absolute worst.
Like you said, it's beyond me how anyone can be that big of an NFL fan when you're basically rooting for a corporation and your team could move cities tomorrow.
