Interesting... I've played a ton of manager mode and never had a pro club offer me like that.

Which one of you was playing as Aguero this morning?

Playing against PSG right now. Verratti is tee tiny. I know he's not a big guy but damn he looks small

Man, I'm really enjoying my online pro play at the moment. It's addicting when the team is playing together. We need to get a TD pro club going early this year.

How is everyone else approaching training? Being so frequent, I'm simming at least 75% of them. It seems better to always go for hard drills. Even if the player pulls a D on the drill, they get nearly what they would pulling an A on easy.

Depends on the player and how close they are to an upgrade. I usually focus 2-3 training on a single youth team person and the rest to my best 1st teamers.

I'm similar. 1 or 2 to my starting 11 and 3 to youth or squad guys. I love how the youth team guys grow. I've had a few shoot up 5+ and I'm halfway through my MLS season.

They usually grow 1-2 points on the first of every month too. Like the growth this year.

Some positions are easier to grow than others. Midfielders require tons of different skills so I can literally have one midfielder get all five trainings at a time. Goalies and CBs are easy to train... Only take two trainings.
I typically have one guy I focus three on and then two on another one.
You see the biggest bang for your buck when you train your weaker players... Diminishing returns haven't set in. It takes a long time to see any improvement when the guy is already a 78.

I find the randomness really interesting. I've expressed my favoritism towards manager mode and scouting on here before. Well, the new training has added an interesting dynamic for me. I just scouted nearly identical CB in the same report cycle but from different countries. Both were 64 OVR at 16, about 5'7" (which means 6'2" at 17 y/o) and about 150 lbs (so about 178-80 lbs).
1 guy had superior physical skills, very strong, decent stamina, and heading accuracy. I start both off with "El Rondo" training. The guy with superior physical attributes is flying through training he's at 70 OVR. While the other guy is still a 67 OVR, except his defensive stats are all in the 80s. I think it's interesting that you really need to pick and choose which attributes you want to improve. Do I keep chugging away at the defensive skills or try to improve his stamina, agility, etc. Adds another level of strategy IMO.
Sorry for the long-winded post.

I don't spend a ton of time on stamina training for my youth guys. I give them a little bit but I focus on ball skills mostly. My hope is that once they go out on loan they'll grow their physical stats.

I'm now getting towards the end of my first season at Notts County with first place in League Two (9 pt lead of Plymouth Argyle). I managed to make it all the way to the quarterfinals in the FA Cup against Manchester City where I fell 3-2. I swear Wilfried Bony was offsides. >__>
Still, I've managed to pinch some pennies together during the Winter transfer window to bring in Olivier Boscagli from OGB Nice. Was pretty desparate for some defensive help due to injuries and Haydn Hollis being adamant about leaving after his contract runs out. To add on that, FIFA really screwed me. 10 guys have their contracts expiring after on year. Been able to resign 4 of them, but I'm only losing two I wish I could keep (Hollis and Spencer).

Season 2 summer transfer window deadline day:
8:00 left Barca sells Neymar to Bayern for 91 mill.
7:00 left Bayern sells Lewandowski to Barca for 90 mill.
Sigh....EA you lied to us.

When I hired a scout for my youth academy he brought some kid with 94 potential with him

Nice.
Never seen that before. Best player in my youth system right now is a 15 y/o American CDM. 91-94 potential and a 65 OVR.

While CDM has inflated overalls, that's still incredibly lucky.

I'm pretty sure I have 3-4 CDM's from the USA in my youth system right now with potentials of 91-94.
I obviously don't just gun for the CDM's, but when it shows that they may play three positions with that high of a potential I'll pick them up. I won't keep any of them and will sell them at the first opportunity I get, unless one of them is tall, then I may keep him and use him as CB.

I have a winger that I have trained +8 points in roughly 2 months of trainings. He is around a 68 now. It has been amazing seeing him go up a point in almost every week of training
At the very least, I could sell him for a huge profit with very little effort on my end.
A 70 OVR 16 year old is pretty valuable.

I just sent out my scouts to Brazil, Argentina, and Spain all looking for Wingers. All of my scouts have 4-5 stars in Judgement. Time to see if 16 works the same way as 15 where Wingers are the way to find fast, athletic guys that play either RB/LB or become attackers.
Expensive to send my scouts to those places for 9 months, so those should yield results based on the algorithm.
