Trying to plan anniversary dinner for the wife and I and wondering which one you guys would recommend d. I've been to Ruth Chris but never Capital Grille.

If there's any other suggestions for the south Florida area (Delray to Lauderdale) don't be shy

I've never been to Capital Grill, but have been to several different Ruth's in several different states and have always left happy and impressed. The consistency across the board is too notch, and I've enjoyed each meal there.

Oh man that's close, I'd say a three way tie with Morton's

I prefer the cap grill, but that may be because it's such a rare treat for me.

Ate at the Cap Grill in DC this summer, the steak was very good. We had some off menu bone-in filets. They were very, very good.

The Ruth's in New Orleans is by far the best that I have had .. If you don't want to drive to NOLA - I would say go to capital grill

Did Capital in Chicago. Steak was ok but every side except the lobster mac sucked arse. Ruth's is +1,000,000 times better. Do Ruth's. Always consistent and every side is great

Capital Grille was built up to me as a top notch 5 star steakhouse

My wife and I were disappointed. It was good, but here in dfw I could name 5-8 places that were better

It's not bad, just very $$$ for what you get

I'd go with Ruth Chris.

Capital grille is doing the generous pour right now...buy a meal and drink some Damn good wine for $28 extra per person (stuff like mount brave cab and arrowood reserve cab). Those wines are usually around $120-150 a bottle at least and u get as much as u can safely handle.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely enjoyed the Ruth Chris' in Nola, never been to the one in boca but it seems like it's pretty safe across the board.

Never been to Ruth Chris. I've been to Capital Grille and Mortons. Prefer Capital by alot, and get the cold shellfish tower.

Capital Grille, but it's definitely splitting hairs. What separates them is the lobster mac side and their cheesecake.

It just varies so much. I've had great meals at the Palm, Cap Grille, RC and Mortons. I've also had mediocre meals at all of them in different cities.

Best bet is probably to find someone who dines around your area and get him/her to give you the scoop. You can try a review comparison but that is hit or miss, I'd ask someone who regularly does steakhouse business dinners.

FWIW, I consider Cap Grille to be "nicer"

You are overthinking this...just call either and get a table.

I've always loved the capital grille in the Brickell bay area of Miami.

I prefer CG to RC. Get the lobster bisque if you go to CG.

I've been to both restaurants in Miami (not Boca). Ruth's had the better food. CG had the more elegant atmosphere.
