I'm certain not one of these people has ever admitted to doing what they did for publicity, if they were doing it for publicity they wouldn't off themselves after killing.

There was a report posted in the main thread that talked about motivations. That may not be the case here, but becoming infamous is a major motivating factor with these mass shootings.

this doesn't happen in other first world countries. I'm sorry, but we need to start the gun control process.
I'm aware that rednecks LOOOOVE THEIR GUNS but the British landowners LOOOOOVED THEIR HUNTING and that has come and gone. It's time to get rid of the guns.

You're delusional if you don't think the media is a primary contributor. Tons of people seek glory, and it's now more easy to achieve fame than ever before. If you let these people know they're truly powerless in the end and what they're doing is a waste of time, then they wouldn't go murder strangers in mass numbers. Yeah, we'll have the occasional Jeffrey Dahmer, but in the course of a month, we've had 3 mass murders. 1 I think was for Allah, but 2 were for glory. Something has to change, and the fact that mass murders have taken a large upturn since Columbine, and the way the media covered that, I think there's a pretty good chance that the exposure these murderers get is pretty correlated.

I'm quite certain all the gangs we have to live with in the cities would gladly comply with stricter gun control.

The Colorado shooter started shooting the second Batman showed up on screen, rigged his apartment to blow the second the cops showed up, and took on a personification of the Joker. Not one of these people did it for publicity?!?! Really?!??! I guarantee that that is the primary motive for murdering people in a public place in mass numbers. They are all smart enough to know that they're not getting away with it and they'll either be in jail or get immediately kill. Glory is the only thing these frickers care about.
