I wish this stupid bit of dishonesty would just stop. Men were free to marry men in every state in the union before the Kennedy embarrassed himself and the court with his blathering.

This one amazes me every time I see it.

I think it's a decent representation except that picture of JFK prior to his assassination is not iconic. There is no iconic photo of that. The Zapruder film is the icon.
Where's Reagan at the Brandenburg Gate? Where's Bush with the bullhorn in NYC after 9-11? Where is the Marlboro Marine?

No better picture in history than the into the jaws one.
Future generations while they can appreciate the photo could not conceive of the hell those boys were walking into. Just a gut wrenching photo when you consider the next few minutes afterward

Great photo, but I've never seen it before. 99% of the US has never seen it therefore it's not iconic.
Again, it is beautiful and deserved more publicity.

Didn't see Pearl Harbor. And, they forgot a biggie, a photo of an atomic bomb exploding in 1946 Bikini Atoll.

Isn't that whole parking lot the same?
They've done a really good job of preserving that part of the Lorain Motel. If you are looking at the balcony, The National Civil Rights Museum was built and kinda connects the two.

One is a kid demonstrating a degree of understanding beyond his years, bravely bearing a far too heavy burden for one so small.
The other is a career huckster contemplating taking his first step out of the closet.
