Roster built on players without fixed positions

Just noticed that our players are mostly in-between positions.
QPon - SG/SF
DC - SF/PF
Reke - PG/SG/SF ?
AD - PF/C
Jrue - PG/SG
Flattop - PG/SG
Could even include Ryno there since he isn't a traditional PF (though he's terrible at SF or C)
Looks like the roster is becoming a "position-less basketball" type, where players are interchangeable. Perfect for Gentry's offense and to combat an offense like his or the Spurs on defense
Thoughts?

Jrue is not a 2. Norris is not a 2. Just because you line up at the 2 every once in a while does not mean you are "in between positions." Ryno is a stretch 4. QPon and DC are role players so they do what they gotta do. Reke and AD are really the only guys "in between" positions. And AD is only in between because he can literally do anything.

If this is your definition of "in between positions" welcome to the NBA.

Norris cole is as far from a 2 as it gets. Jrue is normal Pg. he could play 2 only bc of his size. AD is tall 4. So many 4s in NBA can play 5 and vice versa. Only truly is Evans player who has no real position.

Jrue played SG in college and he played offball/SG a lot with Team USA in mini-camps.

Positions don't really matter as much as match ups do

Tyreke a Shooting Guard, since when?

NBA.com
Reke listed as a Guard-Forward
Other sites list him as a guard

Jrue has played a significant amount of SG, including in USA bball tryouts. Jrue plays a lot of off-guard. Many point guards play very little or no off-guard, so I wouldn't dismiss what he does as being normal PG work

We have more players who can GUARD multiple positions
Except Ryno and ofcow Asik/Ajinca
Cole can only guard other guards thou

I agree. Lot of half position guys. Lott of role players, not enough starters.

Look, all I am saying is he has never really been a jump shooter or a 3 point specialist, ala Gordon. Tyreke is a slasher and gets to the rim easily, but we need spacers/shooters on the floor with him to give him that open lane in the paint. I like him and all I just hope him and Jrue complement each other's game more. But yea you are right he can play the wing for sure.

I would never consider Jrue or Cole anything other than strictly 1s

Jrue/EG/AD/Reke/Cole/Ryno all have position flexibility (offensively and defensively). They can fill multiple roles depending on the lineup/game situation/play call/matchup.

Ryno's flexibility comes from defending nobody well. Put him on the worst offensive player 3-5 and let him shoot.
