In honor of the retailing giant's 20th birthday, Amazon is hosting a sale next week that it says will rival Black Friday.
The event called Prime Day kicks off July 15, and is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Shoppers subscribed to Prime will gain access to multiple deals on the site across several categories, said the company in a statement Monday.

From the statement, it seems like they are just going to roll out specific deals at set times, a la WOOT?
So you'll just have to buy what they have on sale to get deals?
I have some obscure stuff I was planning on buying this week. There's really no reason to wait till the sale to get that stuff, right?

Well, you can have a "We are selling X item on sale" or "we are having a store-wide sale on X day."
I just saw a few people saying they were waiting to buy stuff on the sale day, so I was curious which one it was going to be.

Since Amazon.com owns woot, I figure they'll sell stuff like is already sold on woot.com every day.
